Injured in a tackle by a player from a rival domestic team. With 10 matches to go in the season. Not saying Aggar meant to injure him but that worked out nicely for him and Liverpool.

International football and these bullshit mickey mouse friendlies are a fucking curse. I’ll bet a pile of money that Wilshire rushes back to make sure he’s ready for the World Cup and make himself susceptible to another, more serious, injury.

I was about to write that I cannot believe this, but I think I would be lying. It's totally expected and the kind of luck we've been having all season. Ramsey can't come back soon enough now. Which of course means he will be rushed back and probably pick up an injury in the process.

I don't get why he played on? I remember at the time thinking, wtf just go off. Probably wouldn't have changed anything but can't see how staying on helped things.

Because he's a tit.

Admittedly it's what makes him good, in part, but it's also what makes him a red card waiting to happen in any flare ups that happen and what prevents him from being able to sit back next to Arteta when he needs to. Hopefully he'll spend these next 6 weeks taking a long, hard look at himself because he's really not covering himself in glory of late.

I can't see it makes any difference to Liverpool, really. And surely Wilshere's lack of positional discipline is guilty of costing you as many goals as he creates/scores? Always gutting for a player to get a long-ish term injury in a friendly, though, and you can appreciate why club managers dislike them so much.

Wilshere's been poor for some time yet Wenger's persisted with him, perhaps due to a lack of options - can't help but feel this might be a blessing in disguise.

He wouldn't be playing anywhere near as often if Ramsey was fit; he'd be rotating wide right with Rosicky and Ox.

Look, Wilshere is a wonderful footballer who we'll miss, but with Rambo back in training and back for the Spuds game, with that old Swede due to come in this weekend and with the Ox playing brilliantly at the moment, this could have been worse. Jack is struggling for form, is apparently still struggling with his ankle (although potentially an excuse for the poor form) so 6 weeks out, coming back raring to go and ready to push us through the last month of crucial league games on towards the league and the Cup final, might work out ok, considering.

Not a lot of options for tomorrow really. Apparently Koscielny is struggling so unless we're 100% on him I can't see him being risked. With that in mind I guess we'll see:

Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Flamini, Arteta; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Cazorla; Giroud/Sanogo
