Any reason Chamberlain hasn't started this game? As a fantasy football owner, who got him in last week for -4, and got nothing back, I've looked at that you play Everton next week and then Bayern 3 days later, and i assumed he'd play this game and Bayern. I thought he'd become more vital with Walcott out, but instead of another pacey player playing on the wing it's a striker or playmaker. I get that for the future Chamberlain will play in central midfield, but now..why not just play him in Walcott's place? You have all these playmakers and no one making runs you can pass to to send in on goal. Wilshere played 90 minutes of the last 3 league games and now 45 of this. Why not rest him?

All eggs in the FA Cup basket after that, surely. Stoke were crap, ref was worse, we were worse still. Unbelievably slow and static front five there, Podolski and Giroud were particularly poor. Don't think Poldi should be starting any more games really, he was overdue a chance but he's done bugger all with it.

I'd take the FA Cup and 3rd now to be honest. Walcott and Ramsey have been big misses, I think we'd have been in with a shout if they had both stayed fit.

If we can bring in a couple of good quality forwards in the summer and don't lose anyone I think we will be in much better shape next year. Unfortunately Mourinho will be up and running by then, so in all likelihood he will steamroll the title next year.

Deep down I felt that it was always going to be incredibly tough once Theo was ruled out for the season. His absence has ripped the pace out of our attacking play & made us far too predictable, ponderous & easy to defend against. Couple that with Ramsey's injury & we did well to stay in contention for so long, but we've been riding our luck for months now & were bound to come a cropper at some point. And it goes without saying that the line-up of strikers we have is simply not good enough for a team that's looking to challenge for the title.

It's not completely over of course, with City at home & Chelsea away still to come but nah, I don't see it happening from here to be honest.

Having Sanogo, Giroud and Mertesacker up front when you're losing against Stoke is pretty much the low point of attacking football. Stoke fans were probably looking at those three and going "Hm, bit of a one-dimensional approach from the opposition here, not sure I could watch that every week".

Haven't you heard though? The whole point of getting Mark Hughes in as Stoke Manager was to change the style a bit :P
