The comparisons @ArsenalReport uses are just plain bizarre. Jedinak & Aguero don't play in remotely the same position as Ozil (although when called up on this she tried to claim, bizarrely and tellingly, that "Aguero is a No10, the same as Ozil". This is the same Aguero who is always City's furthest forward player )

Hazard is turning into a truly elite player but he too does not really occupy the same area of the pitch so the comparison is somewhat flawed. And Coutinho is a tidy player who's been in good form recently, but I think you'd have to be an ardent RAWK mentalist to suggest he's a better No10 than Ozil.

Just silly, silly stuff.

Is Elite one of the Gold ones?

I feel like loads of your posts these days are digs at me that I don't understand. Am I unnecessarily paranoid, stupid, or both? I just mean he's really good, but I'm trying not to say "world class" because everyone interprets that differently.

Anyways, "flop" Ozil comfortably our best player so far. Shame he's only got Statue Giroud ahead of him when he's running with the ball. Wilshere has been heart-attack-inducing again, can't be doing with him in central midfield.

I can't see the game but my twitter feed has a lot of 'wide shot by Giroud' and 'missed by Giroud' since the game started.

He's done well physically against Vidic, especially in the first half, but his movement is non existent, and he's missed a few chances including one sitter.

Meh. Losing would have felt like a disaster but it was definitely winnable. Wilshere's injury time bellow to get the ball and then letting it bounce off the back of his heel as he fell over and let Rooney get away was a bit of a summary of his game.

Not good, but it could have been worse.

Sorry Fox - I probably have. I just can't abide this distinction of an "elite" class of player. It's really fairly petty along with most of my gripes about modern internet football discussion and analysis.

You have every right to enjoy and analyse the game as you see fit and I should really stop being such wanker for basically no reason.

Yeah he was much better today, to be fair, & looked like he was playing as if he had something to prove (even though he doesn't). Can you imagine having his sublime skills & having Giroud in front of you - it would drive you potty. With each game that goes by, the absences of Ramsey & Theo are more keenly felt. We haven't played well for months now & I don't think this 'result' is gonna do much for our confidence, really.

Anyone else I probably wouldn't mind tbh.

Anyway, hard not to think the league went with Fenton's knee, and certainly Ramsey's thigh, but you never know.

In other news, I absolutely love those diagonal cut backs Ozil does when he drifts wide left. So crisp and precise.

2 points dropped. Not happy with the result. We all seem to be in agreement about the performance and how badly we are missing walcott and Ramsey. We are too predictable and easy to deal with. Also wilshere was awful again tonight. Really don't like him in the middle atm as he just doesn't offer anything.

When I saw Chamberlain warming up I thought it was to take Wilshere off then I saw Rosicky trotting off. :(

I see alot of similarities between Rosicky and Wilshere actually, and I think Jack could do alright if he spent a bit of time on the training field learning from him (but not from the rumoured extra curricular activities...)
