He also said there's no loan fee and (I think he also said this unless I've read this somewhere else) that Spartak will pay his wages for the next six weeks.

Not much to lose I suppose. Not much to gain either but not exactly a big gamble.

I read we were in for Klose, loan until the end of the season, but it didn't come off for one reason or another. That would have been a good signing.

Sounds like Arteta should be ok for Saturday, but Wilshere and Vermaelen are only likely to make the bench at best.

Can't see Podolski starting this game - think we'll start with Rosicky-Özil-Cazorla ahead of Arteta and AOC. Gibbs might come in for Nacho.

Tomas has been tremendous this season so I'd be happy to see him start. Their defence is a bit dodgy & can be got at, Per & Kos took care of Suarez & Sturridge capably at the Emirates & we have a good record against them in recent years, so I'm confident we can get a result although I'd be happy with a draw. I hope we see an improved performance from the last month or so though, because although we've consistently pulled out the results we've been playing well within ourselves & with this horrific run of fixtures now starting we have to step it up a bit.

Ramsey could be out until the end of March?????

What is this shit?????

It's probably just confirmation bias or something on my part but it genuinely feels like we have a shittier and more frequent occurrence of injuries than any other club in the EPL. Is it bad training techniques, awful physios, a squad of fey fucking glassmen who make the cripple-dude in Unbreakable seem like an 80s action hero in comparison, a secret tourney of THUNDERDOME after every match, what? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Ramsey certainly isn't injury prone. A lot of the time people jump on the medical team when we don't really know anything about it, but when someone aggravates the same injury again as soon as they resume training, surely someone has messed up there?
