Wenger confirmed he has had a recurrence of the problem but didn't give an estimate. Seems like Wilshere is out for Palace too, and obviously that dipshit Flamini.

Where's Rosicky anyway? Did he try and cram a load of beak in that busted nose of his? First player out for 3-4 weeks with a septum injury.

Wenger has let himself down with his comments about Flamini.

"Flamini got the ball. At some stage we have all the feet off the ground - when you want to run you need to put the feet off the ground.

"If you say that every time a guy makes the two-footed tackle it is a red card he deserved a red card. If you say was it a violent tackle I would say no as he played the ball. I don't know, the referee made the decision, we have to cope with it."

Utter claptrap.

Flamini is banned for 4 games due to him having already served a ban this season.

Can't argue with Flamini's red but you wonder how Raphael only got a yellow for his two footed lunge last week. The inconsistency can be frustrating.

Some reports say Ramsey's setback could be just a week but we don't really do just a week do we.....

Raphael got a yellow because the ref bottled it after just sending off Vidic. It was an awful decision and no-one defended it, not even on the Man U side. Sounds like Wenger might have given it a go though :)

The ref gave a throw in originally and only reconsidered because of the linesman! This yellow saved Rafael from the deserved ban from the FA after the game too, just to compound it. We'll never know but I wonder what the linesman said, "foul, red" or just "foul?". So either the linesman too is incompetent and thought it deserved a yellow, or like you say the ref listened to the assistant and then bottled it.

In regard to Wenger he's wrong as the player wasn't red carded for winning the ball or not, it was the excessive force and fact he was out of control when he made the tackle, both which potentially endanger the opponent and hence the red. Though we all know this and I suspect he does too.

Yeah he knows he's chatting shit. Just frustrated I guess. Hopefully in private he'll give Flamini a bollocking because we're not exactly flush in central midfield right now. Palace looks like it's going to be a rusty Arteta and rusty Oxlade-Chamberlain in the middle, unless Rosicky recovers.

Also SURELY it's now worth trying Podolski-Ozil-Cazorla? Gnabry really shouldn't be starting atm, not to be too harsh on him obviously but he's been anonymous for four games in a row now.

Gnabry's problem is he always cuts inside. The replacement for Walcott needs to get behind the defence, dovetail with Sagna to make runs down the wing. The Ox had the right idea but not the speed (maybe at the moment due to his injury).

As Matt Scott pointed out on Twitter, we're already missing Theo because the opposition defence can press much higher up the pitch.

Tough game to judge him on to be fair - not many of our midfield would get stellar reviews. He also had a good second half last week too.

I have really liked the look of AOC, although I think he'll be playing alongside Arteta against Palace with the Flamini/Ramsey situations.

Yeah it probably is tbh, Wenger was playing it down a bit but I've seen it from a few places. They're not going to want to rush him back again.

Ox-Arteta for a couple of games I guess, hopefully Rosicky can check out of rehab in time for Palace too. Need Wilshere back ASAP obviously.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good player and I did advocate going for him, but that's a hell of a lot of money for a guy of his standing. Hell of a lot. And besides, we're told £37m is his summer release clause - Schalke would want more than that to consider selling him now.

It could mean both Ramsey and Wilshere are out for the season. I'm not sure we'd be sniffing around cover if it was just one of them.

He's a cracking Football Manager player at least, circa a bit ago.
