Probably overpriced but one of those situations where if you want the player you've gotta pay the money.

Wonder where AW was off to today after he was pictured at Heathrow?

Is it correct that he ended up at tonight's Barca game?

on Bendtner…

He's been back in the squad since the start of the week and he's available if selected.

on Arteta and Ramsey…

Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey join the squad on Monday, they are not available for Friday's game. We lost as well Rosicky, he's not available.

on the squad strength…

We have just had Oxlade-Chamberlain back, Bendtner back, I hope to have Arteta back next week and Ramsey. We also have Yaya Sanogo coming back into the squad next week.

Stab at an XI for tomorrow: Fabianski; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Flamini,Oxlade-Chamberlain; Gnabry, Zelalem, Podolski; Bendtner

Pretty decent lineup, that. Initially I looked at it and thought 'ooh, we might be taking Coventry for granted a bit with that', but on closer inspection there are 9(?) internationals in that team, so can't have any complaints really.

Hopefully we can give a lot of people a good rest (shame we don't have a good replacement for Mertesacker) and get a comfortable result.

I suspect the team will differ from that. For a start Vermaelen is a doubt, so we could see Kos & BFG anyway. And Arsene still sounds a bit reluctant about starting the Ox, so maybe Wilshere will play with Flamini. Cazorla instead of Zelalem is the other obvious change that could be made if we want to go for the throat:

Fabianski; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Flamini, Wilshere; Gnabry, Cazorla, Podolski; Bendtner

Give Sagna, Ozil and Giroud the night off. Ox, Zelalem, Hayden etc on the bench.

Read somewhere that if Zelalem makes his debut tonight he'll be the first Arsenal player to do so who was born after AW took over as our manager.

I know AW's been around a while but how young is this kid?

He's 16(!)

Surely Oxlade needs to start - he's played so little this season, he really needs to start as many games as possible otherwise his career's in danger of stagnating.

He could become Arsenal's Zaha.

Ozil starting...wtf.

Ox-Wilshere midfield too. Could see some good attacking football, just hope no one gets Falcao'd.

edit @ lordo: how is missing 6 months with a knee injury analogous to fucking the boss' daughter and getting shipped off to Cardiff? Ignoring the fact Ox is way more talented anyway

I do wonder if it all stems from Fjortoft, or if there's more to it than that.

What I've seen of him this seems like a lot of money, but I'm no scout. He's a good player but it's hard to say how much contribution he'd make if he came now, to a new league aged 20. I guess if it is all true, Wenger sees enough in him to think he could be the next big thing. Missed out on Ronaldo, Özil and Götze at a similar age.

Yeah hope he does well there. He's a good player, just needs some regular games. His last loan was a bit of a disaster.

Puma kit announcement on atm.

edit: better cut down on the Piebury Corners, lads

is that legit? everything i've seen on twitter, seems to say there was no kit shown at launch?
