Good work from Walcott.

I was half expecting him to 1) overrun the last defender and be called offside or 2) take a shot from a stupid angle, but instead he did everything right. I think we've missed his gas and ability to scoot in behind the defence these last two months.

His pace and the quality around him give the team a real edge. Used as a sub, he will frighten tiring defences. Play him off Giroud, could be interesting.

Shouts for Arteta who was absolutely superb today. Such a player.

Ramsey also fantastic, and Szczesny is the best keeper in the league on current form.

Onwards and upwards!

I really need to go back and delete all my posts about Szczesny in case someone else goes back and quotes them all and makes me look like one of those idiots who said Ramsey was an absolute waste of space and he'd never do anything for Arsenal.

Big win today. Ramsey has upped it ten fold this season. He's not just in form... He is class! Fair play. Szczesny has gone right under the radar but has been very consistent. I'm very happy with his progress. We are well within a shout this season and look really strong. Let's hope we can keep this up.

Apparently Ozil had a 100% sucessful pass ratio in the first half, and while he doesn't go for the Gerrard-esqe stupid shit, he doesn't just pass it back and forth between defenders either. So, pretty damn impressive. No idea why the pundits still won't consider Arsenal as title contenders, continually citing the other big teams as too much to ignore... despite them all being amazingly inconsistent. I mean, come on, when Liverpool look a bit threatening you know something's got to be up with everyone else.

Tbh I suspect most journos and pundits are, well, jealous in a funny sort of way. I think the way Arsene has stuck to his guns through thick and thin. How he's always promoted skillful play. How he's guided the club through tough times. How he's stuck by players. Now that it's all coming together some people just don't want to admit he's been right most of the time and he's created a bloody good football team.

Fantastic result yesterday. I can't remember the last time the team has looked so assured and in control. Even in the Cesc era there were too many jokers to close out games like yesterday. Cardiff looked pretty dangerous at points but we never looked flustered.

Two fantastic results so far today, as well. It's a very odd season, so many things just going right, even the stuff outside Arsenal's control!

Was just coming in to post pretty much the same thing.

the first 2 games tout of todays 4 have gone pretty much as good as we could have hoped. if city and chelsea slip up as well it will be a fantastic weekend.

I feel this side is pretty different to the invincibles of some ten years ago - would I be right in that assumption?

If so the way Wenger has changed to adapt is noteworthy.

We don't have an elite striker, and the squad doesn't have the experience of winning big trophies domestically and internationally. In terms of the way we play, there are similarities but also big differences.

Anyway, Ramsey with some next level shit. He really was brilliant yesterday. Best performance from him since the Sunderland game, when he made 8 tackles, completed 94% of his passes, and scored two great goals.

How much rotation do you guys think we'll see for the Hull game? I've seen people on Twitter suggesting formations including about eight changes and Bendtner, which seems mental to me. Hull have proved they're a decent enough side, and just beat Liverpool fairly comfortably. That said, it's temping to rest a couple of guys. Giroud certainly looks like he could use a break but I'm not sure we can really afford to do it. I think I'd go with:

----------------Szczesny--------------
Sagna--Mertesacker---Koscielny--Monreal
-----------Wilshere----Flamini------------
-----Walcott-----Ozil-----Rosicky-----
-----------------Giroud----------------

Subs: Fabianski, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Cazorla, Gnabry

The only real alternative I can see is trying Theo up top and Gnabry wide right, but that seems a rather big gamble to me, especially when Walcott is going to be a bit rusty after his lay off.

"@QueenofSuburbia It's too early to tell if Chelsea and Man City are title contenders, they haven't played Arsenal yet."

Right on. Why on earth does that retarded statement only apply to Arsenal, and not Chelsea/City who sit 4 & 6 points further back respectively?

In other news, Jenkinson comes in for Sagna tomorrow, who has a hamstring niggle. Doesn't sound too serious though, hopefully. Jenkinson has been doing alright recently for the U21s though so fingers crossed he won't be too rusty. Podolski resumes full training later this week and could be available for the Man City game.

And yet people constantly say we're not, generally based on the fact we're yet to play Man City or Chelsea. And yet they never say of those teams "Oh well they're yet to play Arsenal".

I'm fine with pundits and journalists continuing to write off our chances, but the logic they're using seems extremely silly.
