I almost ruptured my spleen at Alan Davies' impressions of Olivier Giroud on this week's Tuesday Club podcast.

Same here, so funny!

Not sure about Walcott going, will anyone out there actually pay him the £100k he is looking for, plus a fee in excess of £15million?

We didn't. We agreed fees totalling £12.5m with things like international appearances and other complicated stuff, but then we re-negotiated it when they needed money and gave them a lump sum that made it £8m and cancelled all the potential future fees.

This short term Walcott compromise sounds like we'll up our offer in January so long as he earns it in the meantime, which would be pretty fair. Although it might look shit if he turns in loads of tremendous performances short term just to get a massive rise.

club ticket website just crashed in middle of rush for Chelsea tickets - had been in the queue for 35mins but luckily it seemed to keep my place and hadn't let anybody else in. lots of tickets available for reds behind the goal in the upper tier at the Clock End.

pricing though is a bit sharp - take my son and we usually get in for kids discount with tix less than £50 for a pair in the 'wing' under a screen - Chelsea game was £87 each - no kids discount and had to get him an adult.

anybody seen those twitter rumours of Cabaye shirts on the club shop, didn't investigate but probably drivel.

I think he is on pretty much exactly that. According to some guy on Twitter anyway...

The only reliable source on Twitter for Arsenal news is this AFCamden guy who called the Carzola deal, Wilshere's injury being season ending last season and him getting the number 10 shirt all before anyone else. He screwed up on the Sahin deal though so not sure what happened there.

How are we doing for "home grown" players in the squad at the moment?

http://www.arsenalreport.com/editorial/homegrown-everything-you-need-to-know-about-2012-2013-squad-registration/

With 29 players on the list we are four players over the 25-man limit, but that is offset by five U21 players that don’t have to be registered in order to play Premier League games (Jenkinson, Wilshere, Frimpong, Coquelin and Oxlade-Chamberlain). Removing them from registration process means we have 24 registered players in total, of which seven are ‘homegrown’.

The result is that we can add no more non-homegrown players over the age of 21 to the registration. We can, however, omit certain players (like Squillaci and Park) from the final registration list to make room for new signings.

Just a thought: Let Walcott go to Liverpool. In a straight exchange for Andy Carroll.

Discuss.

I'd probably go for that, if we ended up making a saving on wages. But I suspect Carroll is earning more by a fairly significant margin.

I'm not a massive fan of either.

To be fair to him, it does seem like Sahin was expected at Colney for a medical, only for Madrid to shift the goalposts on the terms of the deal which led to us backing off and Liverpool re-entering the fray. That's been reported in several places.

Bendtner is apparently in Milan (with a view to going to Juve - apparently all Italian clubs gather in Milan to make sorting this stuff easier) so that looks close, and Park and Chamakh were not at the training ground either. Park looks like he might be off to Forest.

one pile of crap for another?? no thanks.

Bit harsh. I don't think there's a better young target-man in the league than Carroll (maybe Lukaku), the only question with him is will he develop into a Didier Drogba or just a Niall Quinn? Sure, if Arsenal hadn't already signed Giroud, it would make more sense, but there's no guarantee Giroud will deliver in England

We are deep, deep into bullshit territory here but someone just tweeted this:

Make of this what you will. I have just seen this guy in a hotel near London Colney with an Arsenal water bottle and a folder from...

... The premier league called Learning to speak English. He was accompanied by a much older man in a suit and went into a conference room.

Lars Bender and Ivan Perisic are two that have been possible lookalikes for the mystery man.

Best of all is Bender's current profile on Wikipedia.

In August of 2012, Bender joined English club, Arsenal F.C, for an undisclosed fee. What fantastic about the signing was what he reportedly said before leaving Germany. Practicing his english he stated "See ya later motherfuckers!, Im out this bitch!" Amazing
