I respect this guy for going to a place with a greater chance of first team action. Makes a change from the "fuck actually playing, just gimme my money" brigade.

You're assuming we were going to pay him more - that's not necessarily the case. Bear in mind Arteta took a pay cut to play for us.

There is no way a significant player joining Everton would get much less money than an insignificant one joining Arsenal. I'd not be at all surprised that he's gone with the offer that gave him more money and more playing time as well.

And hey, they're better than Man Utd. Lol.

"If I played for Arsenal now I could score some important goals from nothing - in games like Sunderland, when it's 0-0 and you score the only goal. My studying of the game is like that.

"I can give you a lot of important points. I think Arsenal are missing some players like that. You never know.

"When you've played in the Premier League, you sometimes miss the atmosphere in the stadiums and the playing style. I miss this and hope one day I will come back."

"PLEASE BUY ME."

I don't think it's been going brilliantly for him I don't think. Poor guy.

I'd have liked him to have been kept at Arsenal a little longer than he was, I think he could have done something for us last season, more than Chamakh and Park did anyway.

It was a gutter. As much as I felt and still feel for Ramsey, and for it to have happened again, I think the Eduardo injury was massively sickening for me. Not sure why. Felt like the last person I'd have wished it on. When he scored coming back it was so wonderful and I would have loved him to go on and do what we thought he always could have. I still think he's the best finisher I've ever seen at Arsenal. Qual-it-EEE. Not forgetting Gilberto getting there to help at the scene. I still miss Gilberto, he went too early. Reliable, honest, no agenda.

Would I have Eduardo back, hypothetically? Hmm.. Unfinished business?

I don't think we should have sold him either. It's possible he asked to go (would you want to stay in this league if you were him?), but if he didn't he should have been on the books a lot longer. He was good enough to be given as many chances as Diaby has had in basically the same situation.

Eduardo and Flamini are the two who I think could've really, really kicked on and been pretty special for us.

But yeah, Eduardo. Come back. Please. Oddly emotional about what happened for many reasons and his goal against Burnley is one of the most underrated goals of the last 10 years.

Haha I was waiting for someone to pick up on that ???? that was when he could be bothered to play for us, before he became happy just picking up his wages. It is a massive shame about Eduardo as he was a special talent and without that horror injury, would have probably still been with us now banging goals in.

Anyone know if Koscielny is meant to be back for Stoke?

Mind you I guess he'll stick with Verm and BFG anyway for this game. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Cazorla used out wide at the expense of Walcott, with Ox/Ramsey taking his place in the middle. Using two direct wide players didn't really pay off against Sunderland, defending deep with lots of men behind the ball.

Assuming Ox is back, I'd probably go with:

Szczesny; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Arteta, Diaby; Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gervinho; Giroud

I thought about Podolski, but Gervinho did enough to keep his place on the left really, and Giroud should be able to cope better physically with their centre halves.

Subs: Mannone, Koscielny, Djourou, Ramsey, Coquelin, Walcott, Podolski

I could get behind that but I'd expect Ramsey ahead of Ox (given it's Ramsey's favourite fixture). I thought Diaby did well against Sunderland for the most part, really hope he stays injury free and improves this season into the player he should have been. It'd be like a...

So looks like Sahin is off to Liverpool. Not entirely surprised. I don't think Wenger was entirely convinced on the deal. Would have preferred to have Song's replacement wrapped up sooner rather than a deadline day deal, but the main think is we sign somebody decent.

Yeah it doesn't seem like we've been totally convinced by it due to how long it's dragged on. I don't know if that 'option to buy' thing was the stumbling block. Liverpool have got themselves a good player if it goes through, but I'm sure we've got something else in the pipeline.

edit: haha

@AngryOfN5

I'm told Sahin deal is off because he was refused a testimonial after already being at Arsenal for what seems like 10 years.
