Shame about Bartley, I was really hoping he would get games for us. Good luck to him though. I dunno about you guys but I hope wilshere doesn't get the no.10, it's a strikers number not a midfielders. Maybe I'm just bein funny but I would prefer Podolski gets it.

Missed a few days and am a bit behind, could someone just bring me up to date?

I've got that RVP is a proper cunt and can just fuck off.

Wilshere has been given the no.10 shirt?

What number is Podolski & Cazorla?

Has Bartley been loaned or sold?

Is Song really gonna go to Barca?

Have we got a replacement lined up?

1. Apparently so, according to Twitter. Haven't seen it confirmed in Arsenal.com though so hold off on the printing for now.

2. Assuming the first bit is true, then possibly 9 and 30 respectively. But again, that's not confirmed.

3. Sold for around £1m

4. It looks very likely, yes

5. Yes. We're under no pressure to sell him to it's Wenger's choice entirely. He's not going to sell someone like that without bringing in a replacement. Nuri Sahin was apparently nailed on for Liverpool but now we're allegedly back in the hunt again, although he's not really a direct replacement. Etienne Capoue and Yann M'Vila are the other names that keep cropping up.

AW press conference confirms much of what we knew. TV captain, Arteta vice. Song "may" leave, Sahin being "followed". Unclear if he is talking about Twitter or not. Sahin deal not done yet, looked nailed on for Liverpool yesterday.

EDIT: Ah God damn you Fox. :)

Yeah Vermaelen and Mertesacker for Sunderland game, Kos out. I don't think Cazorla will start either, and possibly not Giroud.

Could be Szczesny; Coquelin, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Song, Arteta; Walcott, Diaby, Podolski; Chamakh

Or he might try and save us from Chamakh and go for a whacky 4-4-2 with Poldi and Gervinho up front.

I'm pretty sure RvP was bullying Chamakh last season and as such destroying his confidence and self-efficacy. I am of the belief, as a practitioner of the mental arts, that he will score upwards of 40 goals for us this season. FACT.

Could it be a repeat of of the season Henry left and Eduardo arrived and the team became more of a team?

Too early to say of course and obviously RvP is not fit to lace Henry's boots but it reminds me a little of that summer. Bring it. Three new players to watch and maybe more. My body is ready for the new season.

Had to put up with a United fan whilst at work last night (luckily he was only a customer) "I'm only gonna pre-order FIFA 13 if RvP is at Man Utd", I made some comment that he's only been signed to stop their physio getting lonely now that they no longer have Owen at the club. "Whatever man, we've got the best strikeforce in the country, Rooney, van Persie.......... Wellbeck and Berbatov"

What would people consider fair value for Song? £15m is either great money or an absolute steal depending who you speak to. I have never been 100% happy with him, he's a bit to sloppy to be considered a proper DM and not quite good enough going forward, despite improving in this respect.

Given his age, contract and Barca showing their hand then £20m, I reckon. But we won't get it. It would be a bit of a weird one if Arsene sells quite so easily, I think it possibly sends a message about Song not being the ticket in the dressing room cos you'd think Wenger would ideally keep him if it was purely judged on performance. I would like a rough, tough stay at home CM to replace him.

Me too. Song's wandering plus TV's kamikaze forward dashes haven't really helped the defensive stability recently. Need a proper water carrier to balance out the team.

I like Song, have done for a few seasons now so would be dissapointed to see him go. I too found his "forward drives" irritating at times, but aside from an early comment from Arsene near the start of last season there didn't seem to be any effort (publicly) from anybody at Arsenal to try and make him more disciplined in the DM role which suggests to me that he may have been asked to push forward more often. I'm not sure if mentioning the dressing room atmosphere cuts it either, at least from pics and footage of the team together at training and what have you it would appear most (if not all) of the team seem to get along with him

£15m is more than enough to get a Premier League quality DM in as a replacement for Song, so whatever he's worth we'd be getting enough to make the team better if that's the figure it turns out to be.

Barca though, so it'll probably be £15m spread over 15 seasons or something.
