What a day. Few beers, cracking goal, clean sheet, Balotelli sent off, The Poznan piss take, "Nasri what's the score", and a win. Good day. Reminded me of those days when we were going for the title and had those nervy one-nil wins against teams with ten men behind the ball. I could hardly believe the way they were playing at times. Games like today remind me of why I love football.

Tell you what, this is the strongest finish to a season we have had in ages.

A couple of months back, some smug, gloating Spurs fan at work was giving it some trying to wind me up. I responded with a somewhat optimistically defiant "yeah, whatever, we'll still finish above your rabble", to which he suggested putting some money on it. Having faith (in our boys and the Spuds' characteristic lack of heart), I agreed.

He's not been looking quite so smug these last few weeks. Not. One. Bit.

BELIEVE, etc.

I put that Poznan picture on Facebook and boyatsea lost his shit - apparently we're a joke because we're happy that beating City meant United will probably win the league

I sent him a similar thing on twitter and despite the fact that we get on pretty well he was not happy at all. I had to restrain sending him the stadium Poznan. Funny as though.

Yeah cos you Arsenal fans all love Man Utd…

Nothing to do with the fact that you won a match against a strong team and that Nasri is a cunt obviously

Nasri is a cunt though. A deluded, I overrated one as well. If you don't believe me, it says so in the song. Why would football fans sing something that isn't true? Huh?

Anyways, 'B@C' had every right to be pissed off given that he's seen his team shit itself when it had the chance to win the league. As for us, I'm just enjoying the schadenfreude of the last 10 games given the shit that was flung at us earlier in the season.

Any victory against a team that builds themselves up in the manner that City have is always likely to be that much sweeter, especially with Balottelli's largely hilarious implosion to top it off. The decision not to just throw everything at us in the last 10 just goes to show what a terrible manager Mancini is really. Presumably he thinks a draw would have done which would suggest he's not all that familiar with how Utd generally romp home every year. For a team of their ambition to set up like that for 90 minutes is a joke.

I wish people would stop criticising fans for actually celebrating when their team wins too. If you're not allowed to go mental when you beat a bunch of classless pricks in the last minute then I'm not sure when you're supposed to. You'd think a club with City's long and varied history of failure would have a better sense of humour.

I think you're forgetting those 3 months when he was good that he'll trade on until someone notices every other 3 month period he's been involved in. If he had stayed we'd be in at best the same position, but possibly lower given Rosicky's player of the month performances that literally no-one saw coming.

To be fair though, I would rather Man Utd won the title than City. Man Utd were a pretty awful team when they were buying Veron, but they're getting titles now by being the better team. City are just buying anyone that will turn up for them, despite the obvious problems with them (Eg. Baloteli, Tevez, Adebayor, Robinho). They've brought in some players that benefit the league - Silva, obviously and Aguero used to be good. But generally they're just a hateful bunch of players under a manager that isn't using them particularly well.

The way I see it, at least United have pedigree and have always been worthy foes. No one likes the vulgar nouveau riche, especially when they fill their ranks with vile mercenaries (see also Chelsea).
