At no point during the season has he conducted himself in a way that has has given me the impression that he's not happy at the club. He's certainly not going through the motions before his move anyway.

I totally agree. I've always said that I think he'll stay and I stand by that for now. He's been a superb captain and he's done the business week in week out. Money isn't necessarily the be all and end all. I always said about Cesc.. Leave now and be loved, stay and be a legend. I think van Persie may well be inclined to stick around and carve his name as a true great.

i think Van Perise will be off to Real or Barca in the summer, as a fan when a player refuses to negotiate a contract until the summer it is always because he is wieghing up his options you'd have to be naive to not to believe so. Anyway if he goes to City i think i might just give up on football.

Just looking at the fixture list and seeing who I think will get 3rd and 4th. I have it down as Tottenham third, Arsenal fourth, Chelsea fifth. Of course that sort of depends on whether Spuds truly are in a downward spiral of form, or whether they've just lost three in a row because they happen to have had three tough games in a row. If they do end up losing form completely with their traditional end of season choke then it could all be different.

A win for Arsenal away to Everton on Wednesday would be a great result, but I can see us dropping points there. Man City at home, Chelsea at home, and Stoke away seem like the other obvious games where points may well be dropped. We also definitely don't want to be going to the Hawthorns on the last day of the season needing a win to get top four.

I think Spuds have a slightly easier run in than Arsenal on paper, if they can get some form back. Their next game vs Stoke isn't an easy one but it is at WHL so I think they will win. They then have to go away to Chelsea which is probably the hardest game they have left. I can obviously see them dropping points there. I also think there's a good chance they will lose away to Sunderland. Other than that though all their games look pretty winnable. Swansea and Norwich won't be easy but they're both home games.

Chelsea seem to have the hardest run in, theoretically. I think they'll lose to Man City away, then they have Spurs at home which I have down as a draw. Fulham away isn't an easy game at the moment but I still think they'll win it. Ditto Newcastle at home. I think we'll beat them at the Emirates, and Liverpool will take points off them at Anfield. They have some tough games left to play, and even if Di Matteo looks to have got them playing like Chelsea again instead of a crap version of Porto, it is going to take a massive turnaround in form to finish ahead of Arsenal and Spurs at this point.
