Everton away next. It won't be easy.

We've got some very tough games to come. Everton as you say, Man City and Chelsea at home, Stoke away too which is not on a wet windy Wednesday night as far as I know but is always a hard game.

Plus a few games against teams that need points to survive.

But crucially we have put some respectability back in the season, we haven't got right footed central midfielders playing left back and we currently have a player that scores when he wants. So i'm feeling much more confident than a couple of months ago but still loads of work to do.

according to the BBC Robin Van Persie pointed to his wrist and imaginary watch to make a jab about Krul's time wasting. There was probably some distasteful words tossed in by him as well.

Then he walked away and Krul decided to have a strop and ran after Van Persie and Van Persie decided to stare him down instead of walking away and we had some handbags.

When asked about Van Persie's altercation with Krul, Arsene Wenger said he was unsure what caused it.

He said: 'I don't know, is it history from Holland? Is it just today's story?

'I don't know, they both looked a bit nervous.

Pardew labelled the row “unfortunate”, but refused to criticise either player.

“It’s just unfortunate,” Pardew told the Gazette. “There were words between them at the start about this and that.

“It was a last-minute goal. It happens. If we’d scored in the last minute, I’m sure one or two of them would have been upset with us.”

What was their keepers problem yesterday?

Their keeper wasted time. Ref added time wasted at end of game. We scored in the added time. Keeper is a mug. RvP reminded him that he's a mug. Arsenal fans happy. Newcastle players mad. Pardew still a cunt.

It does feel like we're two knocks away from disaster with a rough fixture list coming up, but if we can just learn that it is possible to come from behind after doing it 4 times running (stat attack, apparently that's the league record) it's a huge bonus.

Walcott looks to have been really spurred on by t'Ox. He's still messing up a fair bit, but he gets so many chances to make something happen he can afford to mess up a few.

And Rosicky is like watching Rosicky. It's ridiculous.

Walcott has improved again and last night he looked like he was interested in beating players with pure pace which he doesn't always look to do. The more he runs at players the better, he stops and drops it off short too often IMO. I do think he still makes runs and tends not to look and if the ball doesn't reach him he quite often reacts too slowly but on form he's a player every team will be scared of.

Sagna has been immense since his injury which must help Walcott as toythatkills suggests. Gibbs has improved, the back four suddenly looks much better. Koscielny is brilliant, him and Vermaelen works very nicely. They can both break with genuine pace and ability which is very handy and you don't really see it in other teams.

Song and Arteta both take a little too long to settle into games sometimes but the way they rotate one 'holding' and one advanced and vice versa is impressive.

Raphael Honigstein just tweeted: "Podolski passed a medical for Arsenal today, according to well-inform Dave Woods of the Daily Star. #afc"

BOOM! Well happy with this. Signings coming in place. Couple more please and tie up that 3rd place and RvP is going no where. Early and optimistic I know, but I've got a really good feeling about next season at the moment.

One thing I don't get, how come this Podolski business is happening so early, miles outside the transfer window?

Yeah, theres a reason usually these things don't get tied up officially this early. Is he disliked at Cologne? Is he a bit of a trouble maker?

What do people think about our performances being related to no longer have to pick up after a lazy Russian? We seem so much more energetic as a whole, which could point to the fact that you only need one guy not working as hard as the rest for things to fall to bits...

naaaaah, I reckon he wants to play, but when he reads posts like yours he just thinks "oh, what's the point!?!"

Agree with Toys on this one, if it is all signed up and completed it will be to get it done before the euro's.

Doesn't really work for the games he didn't play in, or for performances before/after he was subbed.

I don't think it has anything to do with that lazy little shit.

Winning breeds confidence. We are playing with purpose and the swagger is back, I just hope it continues.

I think a lot of our recent results & performances are down to being able to play our first choice back four.

A LB at LB, the pairing of TV & Kos at CB and especially Sagna back at RB.

In my opinion Sagna being back and Theo's form of late is no coincidence.

Koln have been relegation threatened for ages, but whilst they're not mathematically safe this does basically coincide with them being very strong favourites to stay up. I think they'll be using the money, particularly the saved wages, to strengthen their whole team rather than simply replace like for like. That takes time, Podolski clearly wanted to go, we want to show RVP we've got ambition, the Euros will delay everything...

Add that all up and it makes plenty of sense.

Agree with that. Arsenals style of play really requires quick capable full backs, Sagna in particular has been a massive miss, he's the best right back in the Premiership for my money.

Spurs did the same when they bought Modric just before the Euro's in 2008.

We also did it with Rosicky before the 2006 World Cup. It's fairly standard and I'm not one for thinking it's because he's a 'replacement' for RvP and in fact I think it's a partly a sign of intent for him and the fans that the club is aware of it's weaknesses and will be doing things the 'right way' this time around.

In other news, how much of a cheap tart is Eden Hazard? First he was making eyes at Arsene, then he slipped into a sexy LBD and starting winking at 'Arry (though 'Arry initially thought he was just taking the piss out of his twitch), and now he's rubbing himself suggestively at Lord Fergie wearing some little denim hotpants.

The guy clearly has no shame whatsoever.
