He just makes the wrong decision too many times. Wants to be the guy to play the glory ball - three or four times now in this games he's done it and he's given the ball away when we've had players in great forward positions with good simple passes on. In the dying minutes against Milan it was even worse when he had Park and I think Gervinho tearing into space and he went for the impossi-ball, lost possesion and killed any hopes of attack immediately.

He get cheers for holding onto the ball under pressure, but more often than not he gets himself into those position by holding on to ball too long and getting closed down.

The is a difference between taking on responsibilty and indulging yourself and more often and more often I feel Song is guilty of the later.

It worries me, because he's a talented player but I am increasingly worried that he's getting a bit hollywood which is the last thing we want for a player in his position in a team like ours.

I know what you mean but I think it's one of his strengths. When done right he sucks players in and makes space for everyone else. Rosicky does the same, Helb did too. It's those little incidents that can get overlooked cos it's not a killer pass or whatnot but it pulls the oppo about and creates chances to break. It is annoying when he gets caught out twenty yards from our goal though.

I think your gripe should be with Wenger, if he doesn't like it then he should tell him to stop. And its not as if Song is actually a holding midfielder. We always thought he was but he's not really. He seems to have as much license to get forward as anything. I see it as part of the way we play.
