I know these things are normally a load of bollocks but thought I'd share it anyway.

A workmates brother-in-law who's a banker had a meeting yesterday with someone "high up" at Arsenal and they got talking, as you do, and the story is that AW will move upstairs in the summer and Guardiola will come in as manager and be given £100 million to spend on the team.

A bit fantasy football but there it is.

I could see Guardiola choosing Arsenal as his next job, similar footballing philosophy, he'd be given time and respected unlike, say Chelsea, he admires Wenger so were he to stay that relationship would hopefully work.

That said, he has just unequivocally stated he wants a year out if he leaves Barca and despite the pressure of the job who'd walk away from a team playing that level of football?

New project, chance to recreate something brilliant with less resources- it'd be like playing FM with a "lesser team" except for real.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has accepted proposed wages of £210,000 a week to move to Manchester City, although a transfer fee has yet to be agreed between the two clubs. The deal would make the 28-year-old the Premier League's highest-earning player once City sell Carlos Tevez

"Rumours, rumours, rumours pfff getting tired of them. Please don't believe anything unless it comes from @Persie_Official him self."

From his wife.

I know which one is more reliable.

Ryo was excellent for Bolton today. He looks really promising.

I managed to catch this. He was man of the match, created the winning goal and was a threat all game. Looks very pacy and while very raw, I would be disapointed if he weren't in the first team squad next season.

So what's the deal with Podolski then?

Grabbing his manager by the throat after he'd just been sent off for head butting an opponent. I didn't know he was a mental case.

He wouldn't last 5 minutes at Arsenal if he tried that shit with AW.

Has he got any previous?

I have read something similar. He was saying to his manager "he grabbed my throat like this".

About 7.30 in. The manager bit is about a minute later. It's a very. very well timed photo, he barely touches his manager. And is clearly showing him what happened.

It wouldn't happen today. There is a picture in the Times football bit of Malcolm McDonald and Graham Rix (with massive perm) playing cards on the coach back from a match in 1977. 2 things on the table apart from the cards - a Leon Uris novel and an opened pack of Benson & Hedges.

Bloody media!!

That's a bit naughty what they've done there. He was unlucky to get sent off let alone the manager thing, which he was of course just showing him what happened.

Looking at the managers reaction to their win after the final whistle, he doesn't strike me as someone who you should grab around the neck too.

Especially with the way he's been playing lately there's no point in selling him at all. It's not like he's on a ridiculously high salary or we could sell him for a big fee.

He's become a very useful member of our squad.
