You could argue that the players aren't good enough. And they aren't. But we're probably better man for man than Sunderland and look at their effort, work rate, intelligence and general application. It's put our lot to shame, they're clueless and toothless.

Exactly, I'm less concerned about their overall ability than I am their effort. Theres just very little there, and that element of arrogance that Keane feels is there has probably been picked up by Sunderland which will make them put more effort in. Arsenal are being given very little room to move, and its a credit to Sunderland they're pressing us so hard (I don't want to take anything away from their performance), but the Arsenal players don't even look like they're trying to make or find any room.

Sunderland have been aggressive (in a positive way) both on and off the ball.

I absolutely fucking hate this formation too. We play it with such a lack of flexibility that it makes us so predictable and slow. I just cannot stand the way that everyone shirks responsibility, gazing at each other in the hope that someone else is going to sort things out.
