We seriously need to wake up or this tie will be over tonight. We're reacting to everything so slowly and our breaks are glacial. This is exactly the sort of game you need another option up front too. It's so easy for Milan to isolate Van Persie and they know our other attackers offer a negligible threat.

I rate Szczesny as a promising young keeper but he does seem to have the flaw that an awful lot of things on target end up in the net behind him, he makes what look like good efforts but doesnt actually cover the goal. At first i thiught people were always scoring worldies past him but not so sure now, he doesnt drop howlers but cant argue with the stats that his save % for on target shots is very poor and number of goals conceded outside the box is high.

Exactly what I've been thinking for 45 minutes. They are simply better in every single way. I think the holes left by Fabregas and Nasri have been more evident tonight than ever before. This is a step up and it's all a bit much for us at the moment. I'm not angry or annoyed but it's a shame that we look so ordinary. You'd have to get Chamberlain on ASAP.

Rosicky is the only player who has come close to setting anything up, I'm not sure having someone wanting to run down the mud would be a massive improvement. Maybe Ramsey off.

I don't know really, "do better" is probably about it.

This is why I can't get excited about the Champions League, we are not equipped to win it and just end up getting humiliated. Remember, all of Europe is watching this game as it's the only match and we're being made to look like chumps.

oh god this is going to turn into one of those games where all the AC players struggle to overcome the effect of gravity, isn't it?

They are Italian, so they are going to dive. The players should know not to give them a chance to chuck themselves on the floor.
