Oh yeah, and you mention that we've got better players up front than Walcott. We've got one. RvP and that's it!

But you only play with one striker! Even if RvP was injured, Walcott would be wasted toiling on his own up front, so the likes of Chamakh (wtf happened to him?) would get the nod over him.

That's what I mean. We haven't really got a much better striking option than Walcott. You said we've got better players in that position but Chamakh is rubbish, Park is a non starter. Walcott is probably our best second choice to RvP IMO.

Park has said he wants to leave at the end of this season if that's a surprise to anyone. To not even get a run out at the weekend when we're 5 goals ahead with 30 minutes to go really does say it all. The guy must be absolutely fucking rubbish in training. Pretty much the worst use of money since John Terry's mates booked the ghost of Richard Pryor to perform at his birthday party.

From football365..

Seven on Saturday from just eight shots on target was bad, but add those to the previous total and Robinson has now conceded a whopping 60 goals against the Gunners. Probably worth dropping him next time (if there is a next time).

he'll probably get an england call-up now...

I think Djourou has been killed physically from all of the injuries he's had. When he was younger, he looked like a fantastic athlete. Quick, tall and good with the ball at his feet. He just lacked that natural aggression most good defenders have, but I think a lot of fans thought that would come with time and experience.

He doesn't really seem to have kicked on from there though and has regressed if anything. I think he's ok with a solid, more commanding partner alongside him, but otherwise he looks shaky. But if he's happy to stay fourth choice centre back, that's fine.

I think he'd be better as a spare Song for a while, a bit less responsibility and a chance to play a bit more football would probably suit his recovery more.

I'd have got rid of him though, it has to be said. I've been much happier with Miquel when he's been on the pitch.

We have seen an actual photo of the new top but to give no clue as to where and when it was taken, we have mocked up this version based on the original picture we have been sent.

Welcome everyone to the annual "what the fuck is that shit, that can't be real" festival.

Next season's home kit.

na2rd.jpg

Chaps, it's the existing top with the white collar ineptly darkened and the sleeves comically extended with white and black stripes. Outrageously bad Photoshop job.

Edit: ah, signposted as such - fair enough.

There's no doubt it's a mock up and a very bad one at that. But these guys were the first with the blue jockey monstrosity we have this season.

I think the black scarf group said it best.

Although we have had a little blue on the home kit in the past but that picture just makes it look like dog shit.

I mean, just look at that 79 kit there. The designer has obviously seen that loads of blokes like a starch stiff collar the size of a folded out broadsheet newspaper, so they just stuck one on the shirt and added a plunging neck line for good measure. Now it's all breathable fabrics and shirts that look like a cross between a space suit and a pile of decorator's overalls. And we have Nike too, fancy putting up with Umbro every year, or Pony or, I don't know, Lonsdale. Bloody hell.

The text in that ArsenalInsider article says the third colour on that home shirt is navy. Fuck knows why they've coloured it in grey-black then.

If it's real then Nike can go choke on a bag of dicks. It's so bad that I'll probably stop buying trainers in protest, let alone the shirt.

When was the last time we had a proper away kit? Was it this one?

edit: oh no forgot this which was close enough I guess

Getting Adidas back in to design something with the 'classic' logo (no three stripes please!), even in a - dare I say it.. - designer range would be interesting, even just some slightly fancy cotton t-shirts in classic styles that no one seems to do for United either. Loved the Sega shirt you had, the gold was classy.
