I'd be surprised if that protest was real. I follow a lot of blogs and supporters groups and none of them seem to know the origins of any such statement. If it were real and going ahead you'd have to assume it would be so small scale as to be pointless. Like this Blackburn ones where all the demonstrators turn up in a half empty mini-bus.

Yes and that's the reason I stopped watching his post-match interviews a long-time ago. Any interviews with him infact.

But as I said yesterday the board and the players have let him down and it's about time they got it too rather than Wenger taking all the blame for everything.

Anyway on Wenger: I don't see what's wrong with protesting against him per se, as long as it doesn't get into Steve Kean territory. That would be disgraceful for someone who has done so much for Arsenal. But he has made big fuckups and if the fans want to let him know they're not happy then I don't see anything wrong with that. He should be respected but he shouldn't be beyond reproach.

I'd like to think it's a massive troll job but I doubt it.

That's been doing the rounds for ages-saw that on twitter months ago posted as a 'look what we're putting up at the game today'. It never turned up at that game, but forget what it was.

Having said that, they might have tried to use it at a home game but we all know what happens if you try and do that.

You think most of those plums have ever set foot at a game? Keyboard warriors for the most part. There's some fucking horrendous shit on there, people calling Wenger a cunt and worse. Fuck them and their bin bags.

Have to say, I've not looked at the page, but don't think I need to in order to tell them to go fuck theirselves. I don't think Wenger is beyond criticism (any more) but some of the shit people have been spouting this week is utterly ridiculous. It just fucks me off when you see banners like those and hear action plans and yet there are large sections of the Grove that never seem to make a noise unless it's slagging someone or something off. Having said that, I usually only get to a couple of home games a year, so maybe I just get the wrong games, but it's blatant on TV and such a stark contrast to the incredible away fans who are constantly superb.

You get that though. I dunno if it stems from blogs or what, but you definitely get the impression with a lot of the tripe on Le Grove or Online Gooner that they're actually reveling in slagging off the manager, board and players left right and centre. Only happy when it rains and all that.

As an aside, The Gooner Forum was shut down this week when someone started a "Why is Wenger such a cunt?" thread. Yes the whole forum.

There are a lot of frustrated Gooners around at the moment and don't for one minute think that I'm not one of them.

The Gooner has always been about providing a platform for Arsenal fans to have their say and this forum has been an extension of that. However, I strongly believe that it's possible to do that in a respectful manner, but unfortunately that seems to be beyond some people.

Therefore, for the time being and with regret, I've decided to suspend the forum with immediate effect.

I apologise to everyone who uses the forum and abides by the (extremely lenient) guidelines for use. It's always a shame when the majority have things spoilt by the few.
