Final Fantasy Movie

I liked it, at least they did try something different. I respect them more for trying that and 'failing' instead cashing in on the success of the games with an unneccessary sequel...oh. :)

My biggest issues with the film was Steve Buscemi. I love him as an actor and everything, but his voice didn't match his character at all and it irritated me throughout the film. The character I could see and the voice I could hear were clearly completely different.

I liked the movie actually.

sure, it wasnt FF Cloud vs Sepiroth but as far as I can soo only the fanboys got dissapointed.

I'm guessing a lot of the American audience didn't get the spiritual Gaia theme either. Final Fantasy VII has echoes of that in it's storyline, but there's... well... more Fantasy in that than in the Spirits Within, which was a bit too realistic for its own good.

I still love the movie though, if only for the huge buffet of eye candy. *burp*

Yeah, there were certain scenes were I had problems tellig if James Woods character was real or not.

However, I got abit emotional in the end where that guy died and his sould tried to hang on to that women.

:)

I would give in a 6/10

Isn't this the most expensive movie ever made? I'm sure I read that it cost well over $250 million, but the cost was never made much of because it was funded from japan rather than hollywood.

I like it, apart from the ending.

It was mo-cap'd...

It was a mixture of mo-capping and key frame animation. Some stuff which was key framed included stuff in zero gravity like the snogging scene and General Hein's navigation of the Zeus Cannon.

I still think there's good in the movie... Cid was a brilliantly realised character, Hein's descent into almost-suicide, fucking ace holograms... I vultured on the bones of this movie for weeks after seeing it.
