Tracer's Slightly Advanced Cs Tactics

Ahhh, I love you guys!!

KEEP IT ON TOPIC FFS JESUS FACE!!!

Yes, as I was saying. A tactic that hasn't been mentioned but it's very obvious and I'm sure lots of people do already...

If you see the enemy and they are chasing you, leg it round a couple of corners, and don't make a sound. They usually think, seeing as you're not round the first corner you made off like a pussy. All the while you're camping that second corner like a bastard with your sites aimed just after the wall at head level. Then they come round and before you can say MASSIVE GAY they get a shot to the face.

I've had many an easy kill with that tactic, and it's so satisfying shooting them in the face before they even get a chance to let a shot off.

Mmmmmm

1. On de_dust3(pcg)you can plant behind a box by standing on it and going close to the wall, plant off the edge down the side and also by jumping from box to box to get to the top left corner which is really frustrating for CT :D

2. Only reload your gun if you have 20 or less bullets (in m4/ak) unless your in a safe place, because shooting a window and reloading is pointless.

3. In the first few rounds save your money, buy wisely. Dont buy a deagle (although good) because starter weapons are suitable and you are likely to find a deagle somewhere anyway. Save by buying only kevlar and secondary ammo for the first few round and you already have $8000 and most likely you have found a gun someone else wasted money on :P

4. Learn to use a scout properly (its a mans gun anyway) and then your awping skillz will be unstoppable. thiis also will in turn help with sniping skills using an m4/ak.

5. In a knife battle, circle the enemy clockwise and then change direction and use secondary fire this way you wont be hurt and you take half their life. Repeat and they are dead. :D

In old CS

M4 and AK were ideal for taking two shots at a time, I've found the AK still is suitable for this, but the M4 needs more time for the recoil to recover which is a right bugger, so needs a bit more work. Thats why i don't use the M4 unsilenced any more unless I'm playing awesomely.

but the best thing I've found in CS source (which would be totally impossible in good ol cs) is that when running your first shots from your AK and M4 at accurate, so running at someone and taking one shot at the head and its as accurate as standing. I've done this more with the AK but once or twice the M4 has been flukey too.

The M4 bullet whether it be unsilenced or not still does the same damage. (try it on some bots), and the stuff about distance being limitted is bollocks, every bullet still goes in a straight line until it hits something (unlike in real life) and hits the target as soon as you've clicked

If the M4 does the same damage silenced or non, what're advantages of not having it silenced?

They can't hear you, useful for sneaking up behind them, e.g. cts rushing to get uder the bridge and into the T's camping area in dust.

Though it is less accurate, the recoil is less.

The damage is hardly decreased, and it still takes 2 headshots to kill.

If you know someone is close round the corner, run out firing. Never be the one who's stood there waiting for the guy to come running round, as 9 times out of 10, you'll be the one ending up dead.

Also, create buy scripts (I'd assume most on here do anyway), don't just use the quick buy menu. I've got from F4 to F12 and D (defuse kit) as my quick buy buttons.

F4 - Deagle

F5 - MP5

F6 - M4/AK

F7 - Aug/Sig

F8 - Scout/AWP (if I haven't got enough for an AWP, it will automatically buy a Scout)

F9 - Armour/Armour & Helmet (same as above)

F10 - HE

F11 - Flash

F12 - Smoke

Someone else touched on it earlier as well, make sure you can switch weapons quickly. If you've got a three button mouse, make sure you have a button for primary, secondary and knife, and if you've got a five button mouse, add a HE and flash button to them.

If you haven't got a mic, bind a few essential radio commands, like enemy spotted, need backup etc, to some buttons too.

The recoil is less on an unsilenced M4, I didn't know that! Uh, Utero was saying that damage stays the same regardless of the silencer.

basically, silenced m4 is better than non-silenced. any slight increase in power you get from taking it off will mean very little when you are putting 30 rounds into someone or just spraying in their general direction. unsilenced is only good because it's loud for when you are 'pumped up'.

if anyone wants to do this and doesn't know how i can make it for you.

i don't use it myself but they're really easy to make

Perhaps I should consider using buy scripts, but just using the numbers has worked so far... Also would it be worth using a script for the awp/scout to flick between primary and secondary and back after every shot in order to negate the recoil animation thing?

that's a useful tactic.

having it off is also good when you are destroying the other team and you want them to hear you pick off all their teammates one by one, stalking from room to room, before you find them hiding behind some cabinets. like Arnie in the police station in the Terminator.

o.O, pyscopath... I find that seeing your teamates' blips dissapear off the radar one by one is chilling enough. Eventually you know it's you Vs a squad of trained CTs, all you can do is sneak around with your AK and try and inflict as much damage as possible before they take you down.

Important to note that if your team is charging, it get very annoying if some guy in the middle/back of the line throws an HE/flash, all it does is harm your own team. Also if your team is around a chokepoint it helps a lot to yell down the mic (if possible) before you throw a flash or an HE, this can help with team flashes and people accidentally blocking your throws. I already know that some people do do this already, Patriot at least.

Learnt some new tips the hard way today. On dust_pcg at the CT bombsite (is it A?) always if you can plant the bomb on the CT side of the car. If the terrorists secure the site before you plant you'll be safe, the benefit is no sneaky CT can hide behind the car which blocks him from view from the spawn while he defuses.

The SOUND travels a shorter distance. You stupid CUNT.

a new trick i found out today. when planting the bomb if you jump on someone's head and plant it on their head the bomb will float. you might be able to create a tower of people (2 or 3 people) and plant it in the sky so that the cts can't defuse :(

would be a good one for clan matches, till they accuse us of cheating ^_^

OMG, that is the coolest tactic I've heard about planting ever. It's even better than planting on the wall at Dust 2 and watching down long A, this is possible on any map! Nice one for working this out Sabr3, or did you see it done?

it was dust_pcg, neo was planting dropping it down the wall and i thought i'd be annoying and mill around where he was dropping it to see what would happen and it floated, i told tracer later about it and we tried it :(
