Yep, Vegas is fantastic, I can pretty much pick out my room from my stay at the Mirage.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but I found something neat.

Fancy racing without the HUD? You can achieve this by pushing backwards (and holding) the right stick (rear view) and then pressing the guide button. Press the guide button again and unpause the game and voila, no HUD.

Perfect for the in-car view on the Atom around The Behemoth!  <_<

I managed to do that once without knowing how. Cheers!

Just realised why london doesnt look right, because the most interesting places are not included in the game. Leister square, one of the best bits of london is not there, neither is the china town area and a whole bunch of others. In fact the london area is really tiny, theres only one area (compared to the other games three areas) and to fit as many places into these areas the map has been made to take u turn roads around the map, meaning you only get glimpses of areas

Hope in pgr 4 we got a proper london, i LOVE racing around london!

It's lost the MSR feel which I used to love so much, the cars used to have a better sense of speed and acceleration, and the tracks arent quite as organic now, if that makes sense..?

I still think its a fantastic racer, but I think back to the VX220 and that great 'feel' it had as I pulled away and the weight of it as it eased through St. James's Park...

Awesome, it's GTR tastic. And wonderfully disconcerting when you don't quite know which lap you're on.

A little guidence...

Second to last Championship, 3rd Event, ELIMINATOR

Which ever car I use the first guy seems to just fly off and never be seen again  Tips?

I've used the Ultima for the most part but in this event you get an RUF just disappear off into the distance.

Enzo.

And yeah, manual gears if you're not a massive bummer. :(

Done it now, the only car I could get close in was the RUF itself. My Enzo was the first thing I went and tried, it got wasted.

AND how do you get the Exotic Car Club Medal? I must have 30 odd cars including the 4 listed as must-haves. Still no medal.

I don't remember exactly what the name of the car was, but if you select all cars, then put em in alphabetical order, it was the 2nd or 3rd last car on the list that got me the exotic car achievement, + was the only 1 for ages that I hadn't got.

Actually: Own: McLaren F1 LM; Shelby GT 500; Ford GT-40 MK 1; Corvette ZR1; TVR Cerbera Speed Twelve; RUF CTR \"Yellow Bird\"; Callaway Sledgehammer Twin Turbo

I'm sure I own all of these but haven't been awarded the achievment. :(

The Bellagio does have a name. Go into photo mode and look at the middle of the building.

Yeah, but in real-life the Bellagio's also named on the top tower.

Anyway, those glitches in full!! Taken from my post on GR. You already know about the HUD glitch, but maybe not the others.....

Glitch-tastic!!

Looks like a few things that were originally meant to be in PGR3 were taking out for one reason or another - userfriendliness for one of them, and sheer "we ran out of time to make them work as well as we hoped" for the others.

Nonetheless these things will amaze you! Let's get started:

No HUD glitch

Ever wanted to get rid of those pesky HUD indicators while in the in-car view, only be able to judge your speed by those lovely speedometer dials in the car itself, and not have a map to tell you where the corners are but rely entirely on your own skill? Now you can!

1. Start a race, go to the in-car camera.

2. Hold "Y" to look behinid you as soon as the race starts.

3. While you're in the rear-view, hit the Xbox Guide button. You can now let go of Y.

4. The Guide menu appears. You'll notice that the HUD details are no more, as usually happens when you're in the menu (but you probably haven't ever noticed).

5. Get out of the Guide menu by hitting B, and out of the pause menu by hitting B again.

6. Et voila! Still no HUD!

7. Drive around with nothing blocking your view at all! You can switch to any camera angle and there will still be no onscreen indicators, but the in-car view is the most immersive by far. However you cannot use the rear view again, as the HUD will reappear. Of course, being in the car allows you simply to look in the mirrors!

Bizarre apparently left the HUD-less feature out of the game because they playtested it and were worried that gamers would be confused. You can't see which position you are in a race, for example. However, so far feedback on their forum suggests they were wrong to leave it out! Have fun, maybe this will be officially supported in the forthcoming patch!

Onto the next....

Extra replay cameras!

Remember that helicam from one of the early PGR3 trailers. It's in there, folks, along with a few others.

1. Have a race.

2. Save the race replay.

3. Go to Gotham TV.

4. Start the replay.

5. Here's the important thing: RESTART the replay (last icon on the right).

6. Go to a camera angle that you can't use while actually racing (so don't use the incar, bumper or external chase cams, go to one of the others)

7. Now for the good bit: Hit LB to flip between several new camera angles, including the fabled helicam! The type of camera you intiate the glitch from will have a slight bearing on the cameras available. One of the new cameras even has tilt and pan control on the right analogue, so try it out!

So that's very nice...... Now onto the best glitch of all.

Free roam camera!

Ever wanted to explore those cities in detail? Here's how!

1. Have a race. Make sure you hit the barriers on both the left and right of the track a few times. Grind along them for a bit. This is important for later.

2. Follow the steps for the camera glitch again.

3. Select the helicam.

4. Wait until your car hits the barriers and the middle of the helicam view seems to be just outside the barriers of the track.

5. Quickly hit Start to pause the game.

6. Select Photo mode.

7. The view you'll see will be a vertical shot very close to the ground.

8. Hold the right trigger button and push the analogue stick back to zoom out.

9. Turn the camera with the right analogue so that it's heading away from the barriers in the opposite direction of the race track.

10. Press forward on the left analogue.

If you've done it right, you now have full control of the camera outside the track boundaries! You can fly anywhere you want, and explore any of the city in detail on that side of the racetrack. If you move the camera back inside the barriers, you'll be "locked" to only exploring the actual track, as per usual.

There are some technical problems with the free roam camera, which I'm assuming is why Bizarre tried to lock it out. You might see clipping, blank patches of screen, LOD not working in various areas, and some other stuff going wrong. But when it works, and you can go right up to all those lovely Vegas casinos and see the texturing work in high detail, it's wonderful!

There's also meant to be a "super zoom out photo camera" that you can find for some cool aerial shots from far up, but I haven't checked that out yet!

I've also seen a free-roaming vid from LIVE, where the racers have free reign over all the included roads in the cities in an actual race. Sadly they haven't yet revealed publicly how to do it. When I found out, I'll let you know.

Anyway guys, enjoy!  ;)

I know people will moan at me for this but the graphics dont impress me.

Now before you all hit that reply button calling me blind let me explain.

Technically its very good, the details of the cars and the buildings and everything are top notch.

but driving around bits of london i realised that i didnt know where i was in london. Even when driving around st james park (or is it hyde park, one of them).

I couldnt work out why at first, the land marks and shops were there and i think i know why. Firstly there are changes to the scenery. One on bit where you come up to the statue thats in the middle of the road, just before picadilly circus, there are steps. These were here in msr, but in pgr3 the road just elevates up to the top of the steps. this means no jump as well.

Add into this the crowds, stands and fencing and you cant really take in the details because theres lots of objects in the way. Finally you are going so fast compared to msr that you cant take in the scenery.

I used to love just driving around msr taking in the sights and then using what i had played in real life. It really did help me find my way around london and recognise key points and even shops.

Its really disappointing to me, its the most detailed version of london, yet it doesnt really look like it. Ive only played a couple of tracks in london so this may change as i play more, but it disappoints me because i loved london in msr.

One other thing that disappoints me is that its not really a street race anymore thanks to the extra details. In msr it really felt like a road race, especially at night because of the areas you traveled through, the radio especially and the way the corner signs were placed on the sides of lorries. As it is PGR3 reminds me of that f1 race held in london in the summer, where barriers were put up and all people crowded the place. Like its all staged rather than a street race.

Saying all this though, this is the best PGR in gameplay terms, pgr 2 i liked but i could never get to grips with it in multiplayer, often coming in last and first place always pulled away with you never catching up to them. But this, all the cars keep close together, its really close racing and its a lot of fun and im loving it. Its a brilliant game, just the graphics still dont match msrs feel to me :(

Come on, you're complaing about Bizarre fixing two of the big problems everyone complained about in PGR2. Its sense of speed is now much higher yet you say you now want it slowed down like MSR so you can see the scenery?

The other main problem people said they were having with PGR2 was that the cities were empty and lifeless. Now that there's tens of thousands of 3D animated spectators all over the track you want to get rid of them because you can't see a shopfront out of your car window?

Come on people, make your minds up.

Seriously, the sense of speed in MRS was spot on, and its not been matched by another racer yet.

I haven't played it for years but it certainly sticks in my mind that it was horribly slow :)

To get the Gotham Hero Achievement you have to feature on Gotham TV but does that simply mean a friend downloading a ghost/replay off you or do you have to get to a certain point in the leaderboards? If the latter, then how high?

All you have to do is be on the Heros Channel (Gotham TV) once. It's nothing to do with leaderboards etc. I think you have to be in an Online Career race to be selected. Other than that just be good I think... :D

It's luck. If you're in a race with someone good, and not necessarily *that* spectacular, you'll get the award.

I am not everyone. The speed in pgr3 is now much higher and it is fun, but theres no slower cars is there now? maybe some unlockables like a london taxi or lawn mower would have helped.

But also the other problem is london has the most boring bits picked for it, i just hope pgr 4 has all of london like pgr1, that was GREAT fun and looked like london.

The streets are now not lifeless true, but like i say its less of a street race now with all the stands and people and railings, maybe if you had a few people on the roads having their normal life and then freaking out as you raced on by, that would make it more like a street race rather than a city circuit racer.

MSR i still prefer looks wise to this and always have done, it just got the lighting and feel of the cities right, pgr 3 does look bloody fantastic but london (and i only mention london cos i know it so well) just isnt quite the same to me as msr and pgr1, i was really looking forward to it, but as a city its a let down, not helped by the roads that have been used.

Great game, but i hope pgr 4 fixes my problems, sometimes developers with new technology forget what made their older games great. I want to drive through leister square again! :D
