Cannot wait until Konami bring out GuitarFreaks/DrumMania V next year and piss all over Guitar Hero...

From reading and hearing impressions of those who have played the game, it still doesn't seem like it'll stand up to the challenge that GuitarFreaks presents. Plus GuitarFreaks/DrumMania V has songs that completely blow anything on Guitar Hero out of the water.

Why so ? Surely having to deal with 5 buttons (and whammy bar) on Guitar Hero is more difficult than the 3 that Guitar Freaks uses.

And if by challenge you mean the completly fucking annoying difficulty spike that Guitar Freaks has... then I hope Guitar Hero's doesn't stand up to the challenge as well

Man, those GF videos look shite compared to the Guitar Heroes one on IGN BSE linked to. GF looks like it simulates the worst kind of technically faultless, but souless cock-rock ever. GH on the other hand looks like a right laugh. I wish I could afford to get the two guitar pack, even the single bundle is a bit of a push at the moment but it's one game I've got to get.

edit: So.. ImportMadness the way to go?

That looks totally neat. I play guitar left handed so I still have a few doubts about exactly how lefty compatible it is, but a bit of sellotape and some way of avoiding the whammy bar and I'm sure it'll be okay.

The video just makes it look super \m/. Goddamn Iron Man, man.
