Pvp Tales

Just a place for people to post fun tales and stories about recent PvP going's on's and shenanigans

Last night I had fun bashing an old foe, the guy's name is khral, an orc warrior. You also see him constantly knocking about with another orc warrior called khrul.

Anyway, a good while ago when I was a mere level 36, or so, I was down in STV and a raid was going on. After the raid had pretty much died down, and everyone's pvp was off (bar the real high levels) horde were coming up to me and calling me chicken, wanting me to turn on my PvP only to be bashed by about 6 horde no doubt.

Anyway, I ended up duelling khral, this orc warrior - 2 levels higher than me, and beating him by quite an easy margin. Only used 1 heal, anyway. He challenged me again, and I beat him by an even bigger margin this time, and I tihnk he may have challenged me a third time for me to beat him again too.

Since then I'd bumped into him a lot, and you could so tell he was always out for revenge, seen as I showed him up several times in front of his chums, but he never got it.

And then I didn't see him for about 2 weeks.

Cue last night, raid at hammerfall. He was there, with his buddy khrul, and both are now level 60. At one point in the raid though I got him on his own, (i'm level 49) and took him on toe to toe whilst everyone else around fought. I managed to get him down to a quater of his health when he bashed me just before my heal could touch, critting me and killing me. :) It was a great fight though, and he did get his own back on me.

Still, I killed him about 3 times after that, granted with a little help, but I wasn't scared of him :)

Think it's about 6-1 to me now :D

You got any stories?

Last night at Hammerfall was good fun, I dropped in to finish up my First Aid from Dr Gregory Vickers - Trauma Surgeon to the stars, as I was learning my new bandages two Alliance rushed in and killed him. WTF? I thought, walked outside and there was a raid going on. I was the only Horde player there! Anyway eventually a few more Hordies started to arrive and we had a bit of a fight on our hands. I got into a battle with a female Palladin 2 or 3 lvls above me (She was 49/50 or so) It was one of the best fights I have had in PVP, she had come too far into Hammerfall and I was way in front of the Horde lines. With nobody to interfere we had a right old scrap, neither of us could get the upperhand though and it ended with her sheilding and heading back to her lines and me using vanish to get back to mine.

Sounds pretty dull I know but it was just a really good evenly matched fight. I had another good time in Arathi due to a botched Alliance ambush on a rather niave Horde player but that's for another time.

Wasn't that me you were fighting?:)

Yup, I'mma female paladin. Have a truesilver champion which is quite easy to spot as it's big and long and silver!

Oh, and I have a big purple bull horn type helm.

I remember a fight exactly like that, tis all, when I got cocky and thought I'd run in for a bit of action :)

If it was me and you, good show, sir. Good show.

Yeah, I've not ever seen one without the other, and they look like twins :)

It's actually really good to see people doing stuff like that to add to the gaming experience. They're 2 characters that I'll probably always remember, amongst alliance ones such as the gnome with the lisp.

I still love boshing him in, though.

I remember getting jumped by a ?? paladin outside tarren mills. He took off half my health in one hit, so I swapped to defensive and disarmed him as he killed me. Then I watched in amusement as a horde rogue came over and destroyed him while he flailed pitfully with his fists. Ok so I died, but it was sweet watching him getting a taste of justice with nothing to defend himself with.

I love disarm in PvP ;)

One of the best yet was when I chain killed four orange-to-green alliance near the ruined tower SW of Tarren Mill.

Started with a lvl 60 priest (fairly easy, keep stun locked as much as you can to prevent healing, and use Will of the Forsaken before they Psychic Scream), then they just kept running in, one after the other so I was basically fighting 1 vs. 2 all the time... and I didn't even get ganked at the end! (had to use a potion though, and all of my timer abilities).

Also yesterday at the same spot I attacked a lvl 58 NE druid... half way through the fight I got Cheap Shotted by an alliance rogue... but as soon as I came out of the Stun I Blinded him and continued killing the druid (he got a full heal though, and Moonfired and Rooted me). I managed to kill the druid but the rogue got me in the end. Great, intense fight.

The first time I got my Infernal I headed to Grom'gol to repel an Alliance raid. When I got there about 10 level 40 or so alliance were hiding over the hill by the NPC ogre village. There were about 5 horde at the time, and, itching to stretch its legs, I summoned it right into them. Stunned for 2 seconds, my Infernal proceeded to two hit 3 of them before they all turned on it and brought it down, with 2 more of them going with it.

Seemingly all on my own, the remaining 5 alliance headed straight for me, only for the few Horde that had assembled to come rushing out of the trees at them.

We didn't suffer one loss.

OWNED.

I went for some PvP action last night. There was _fuck_ all going on at hammerfall or TM/SS. Which was a bit odd, as there's always a scrap going on round there :)

I was there from about 12:30am I think, absolutely nobody there, except 3 alliance bashing patrolling death guards. That was it. Nothing at hammerfall either ;)

EDIT: booooo. Meant to be other account ><

I had a new first for PvP the other day.. I actually managed to kill a paladin with my warrior on The Maelstrom ;)

I was in the Alteric Mountains killing summoners and elemental slaves when I saw a paladin (34, 1 level higher than me) running towards me while I was battling an elemental. Happily I got a lucky crit on the elemental and finished it off just as the paladin reached me so I swapped into defensive stance and disarmed him. He stunned me with whatever paladins use for stunning (my paladin knowledge is shockingly bad), but seeing as he was minus his weapon he didn't actually hurt me much before the stun wore off.

Then it was just a case of keeping him hamstrung and using as many heroic strikes as possible and bandaging every time he started with his shields, eventually he got down low enough for me to execute him. The fight lasted an incredibly long time in contrast to most of my other PvP fights, but I eventually won so that's ok. Only just mind, and only thanks to drinking a healing potion when he nearly killed me.

I think if there's anything I learned it's that I really need to think about sorting out a macro to swap between my two hander and a one-hander and shield so I can easily shield bash someone. At least until I get a bit higher and can pickup Pummel to interrupt spells. Nothing more annoying than getting someone down to 30% health and then them healing themselves to nearly full again....

Loads of fun fights today.

Favorite has to be: I'm nearing the hot zone from the south (the crossroads near Tarren where alliance usually stand and nuke), see my chance to kill a lvl 56 Paladin that's low on health, fighting a group of guards. I kill him, and quickly gank the lvl 45 hunter fighting the guards with him... and then I face the lvl 60 Mage, all ready to die (there were about 40 more alliance nearby on both sides so nowhere to run and all escape abilities are on cool down).

And he starts poking me with his staff because he's out of mana! :D

Doesn't run away or anything... goes into melee with a rogue. Balls of Steel or Brains of a Halfwit... I guess I'll never know.

So I kill him and stealth... 1 vs. 3 (although one was gray and there were guards too) and I got away scot free to boot :(

note that the grey one had 5% health left max, was running from about 10 guards, and thus doesnt count :D

Good way to come across as a cunt that post is.

After this post, I'd expect better from you.

You were doing the exact same thing tonight. Stealthed, waiting for people to break away from the pack or when they were busy fighting guards.

"What are people like that doing on a Role playing server?"

You said it. :o

I complained about people who abuse game mechanics to gain an advantage in PvP.

I use my class abilities to gain an advantage in PvP.

Think about it.

Abusing game mechanics or not, doesn't hide the fact that your actions tonight we're totally cuntish. I'm a Rogue, yet I don't feel the need to use my class abilities to hide and wait for people who are already good as dead to be alone, or busy fighting guards, to then attack them.

I actually found you once during the fighting, and guess what? You vanished and ran off. That was a one on one fight. I even told members of the party to leave me to fight you alone.

I look forward to hopefully being able to find you at the next 'raid'. :D

You sound like one of those 'I can't duel yet, cooldowns aren't finished' duellers. ¬_¬

Or a warrior that'll only duel if his retalliation is ready, or a paladin that shield and heals against a class that can't interrupt casting. ¬_¬

I can assure you other alliance rogues are not as squemish as you. They also like to roam in packs of two or three and attack single targets out of sight of the main battle groups. When I was around lvl 50 and careless, I got duod by lvl 60 rogues countless times (usually Lament and someone else). At least I have the decency to take people on 1 vs. 1. (or 1 vs. 2 or 3).

If you see a Horde at half health, do you not attack him/her?

If you see a Horde fighting someone else, do you not attack him/her?

If you find 20 Horde defending TM, do you only bring about 20 to attack? (of course, there's no real way to prevent people from joining)

Are you being a hypocrite?

What you're actually whining about is my use of Stealth to kill my targets, and you really should know better.

Sorry, didn't see you. Was I fighting someone, or had I just been fighting someone? Probably, otherwise I wouldn't have been out of stealth.

And seriously, how was I supposed to know you had told your party not to attack me?

I look forward to hopefully being able to find you at the next 'raid'. :)

Likewise :D

I am thinking you are a twat... what did you expect me to think?

It's just a game you happy little bunnies.

If calling me a "cunt" and a "twat" here makes you feel better, fine.

Doesn't change the fact I pwned you 1 vs. 3...

Bring fair numbers to TM and you might just get a fair fight. Otherwise I'll just have to thin the flock any way I can :)
