Distinct muttering
Inspired by the Empire article this month on the top 100 scenes from the Star Wars movies. Lets embrace a bit pof positivity in the hope EPIII is good! B) Me first then: Would have to be the carbon freezing scene Empire. We have the gorgeously lit carbon freezing area as Vader stridesin. The red and black tones of this area epitomise the darker feel of ESB. There is the tetchy encouter between Vader and Fett, with Fett showing he is not totally in awe of Vader, stating that Solo had better not be damaged in the freezing process as he is no good to him dead. Vader shows a respect back telling him he will be financially compensated for any losses. We see the first signs of Lando not being all bad as he realises his deal with the Empire is not quite what he thought it would be. Then of course we have the freezing process. There is an emotional farewell between Han and Leia which delivers the best line of the entire series. Leia at last putting all pretense aside, confessing to Han that she loves him. There is a slight pause, the viewers await the rogue delivering the line back. But isntead she is greeted by a dead pan "I know". Yet that scene still remians charged with emotion! linkster
Can't believe they had one from Sith in there I couldn't read half of this month's mag for fear of spoilers.
Sng
Attack of the Clones When the big fight in the arena is happening and Windu is running away from a droid who shoots and he just swings his lightsaber back to hit the shot right back at him. It's the coolest thing ever. And when Yoda pulls his lightsaber out. Amazing. It's the coolest thing ever. I can't think of any others right now. I only know them two cos I watched AotC a couple of days ago.
SeanR
Narrow it down to a scene, mmm? Tricky that is, always in motion my favourite is... Um, the x-wing lifting by Yoda. That ain't no puppet!
scruffycat
The bit where the Rebel armada leaps into hyperspace for the attack on the Deathstar in ROTJ, I don't know why but I love that scene. Oh and the Rebel pilot who flys his ship into the Star Destroyer from the same battle.

Lucas had written it as "I love you too." ← Yeah, heard that too. Ford has come up with the two best bits in both Lucas most famous franchises. He improvised the shooting of the sword twirl guy in Indiana Jones as well.

Dapple
I've got a particular soft spot for Han Solo saving the day at the end of a New Hopw - "You're all clear kid now let's blow this thing and go home!". I loved the fact that it was inlcluded in GC Rogue Squadron (Leader?). Someone's also got to mention the Star Destroyer opening scene...
dunni
I love the bit in ANH when they're rescuing Princess Leia and Han talks to someone on the intercom trying to stop them sending people up. It's so funny.

Bluejam
Empire Strikes Back The Asteroid Scene with the Tie Fighters and the Millenium Falcon The Vader / Luke Fight Another vote for the Yoda using the Force to lift the x Wing Fighter Oh, and the bit where Luke confronts his image in a Vader mask on Dagobah. Return of the Jedi The battle above Endor Once again, the Luke / Vader fight. Great Music Phantom Menace Obi Wan / Qui-Gon / Maul fight Attack of the Clones Anakin speeding across Tatooine (short but great Music) Anakins attack at the Tuskan Raiders camp. SO needed to be longer though Anakin using 2 light sabers to fight Dooku Another vote for when Yoda takes out his light saber

Distinct muttering
Maul lighting up his lightsabre....then the other side of it. ← I always thought it was a shame Maul was marketed so heavily prior to the release of the film as we all knew he had a double sabre. Imagine that was the first time we had ever seen that!
Jack
The sound of the AT-ATs walking towards the rebel base on Hoth. And the music kicks in, and there follows roughly fifteen to twenty minutes of pure arse kickery.
Liquid Myth
When the Stormtrooper ran into the door frame on the first one. Classic.
Marzipan Travolta
Han Solo chasing a few stormtroopers down a corridor. BEAT Han Solo getting chased back up the coridor by ten times the number of stormtroopers. The bit in Jedi when Vader realises that Luke is there. stellar12
The scene where Han, Leia et al are in the Tie Fighter and transmitting the stolen code to the Executor in orbit around the Death Star (so they lower the shield and allow them access to the surface of Endor). The scale of Darth Vader's Super Star Destroyer is superbly illustrated at this point. And the awe-inspiring power of the Empire.
stellar12
Oh actually, the very end of the Luke/Vader fight where Luke just totally loses it. I love that bit.

Silent Runner
Picking one from each film. E.IV The opening scene – Tiny space ship flies into shot, no big deal. A few seconds later, a massive Star Destroyer flies after it. A million jaws hit the floor. E.V The AT-AT walker getting his legs harpooned and slowly crumpling into the snow. E.VI Luke’s back-flip/mid air Light Sabre catch on the barge in the desert. E.I Finding out Darth Vader built C3PO. E.II The scenes between Padmae (sp??) and Anakin. I think I’m the only person who likes these scenes.
Daley
Oh actually, the very end of the Luke/Vader fight where Luke just totally loses it. I love that bit. ← Good one. He's just hacking away until Vader falls and to this day you still almost think, "Oh no, he's turned". Then he chucks his saber away and tells the emperor to shove it. The "I Know" Han Solo one is also a belter. Gotta try that one in real life one day. Hehe. The beggining of RotJ when Luke walks into Jabba's lair. The first time he really is a Jedi, with his cloak and mind tricks. Magic. Also the Darth Maul double saber bit is absolutely superb. And the Yoda - Dooku fight scene, the way the camera pans round as he's about to whip his saber out is class. And...and....

oli
I went to see Dave Prowse at the weekend, it was ace. Incidentially my dad looks a bit like the Emperor so the photos of my dad stood next to a Vader in costume look lolable
