its not really space effective is it.

If it was effective use of space I was after, I'd sell everything but my DS.

My attic is the place where all the good bits go. My PC's are here, my synths, my arcade cabinet and my gaming stuff. I could have used the wall to put a big poster of Holly Valance on, but as I prefer wanking to moving porn I'd rather put my games there. This 'shop setup' works very well; it looks nice and it really makes you pick some games from the shelve you might ignore if you would just go through the spines on a regular shelve. I do have to sort it out though, put the newer PSP and 360 titles up there and take off some of the old PS2/Cube/Xbox games I don't play anymore and put them on eBay.

Is it a good set though? Any problems etc?

Seems pretty good. I've had no problems so far with it. I have heard some people say that its a little dark but i sorted that via the setup menu's. For the money i couldn't argue really. Most similiar ones for the price that i have seen lack HDMI sockets or aren't HD ready. Equilivant name branded TV's of the same size are £180 - £250 more. The only thing it lacks is a DVI port. No biggie really as i use a VGA socket on my creaky old graphics card and when i upgrade i'll most likely be able to get a card with a HDMI output

Analogue / Digital via Scart RGB is *OK*. I knew that a LCD would never match my old CRT but its more than watchable. The x360 at 1080i and DVD's via 576p do look rather good mind

How much are people paying for these Samsung TVs that appear to be very popular?

I have the 26" model and payed £567 for it, from PRCDirect (although the price has gone up now). The 32" model is £765, also from PRCDirect.

What resolution is the PC display through it? and have you tried an original Xbox or a PS2 with the screen?

I've tried xbox halo running on the x360 at 480p and it looks fine. I don't have a ps2 though to test

Sound like a possible candidate instead of a Samsung LCD for at least £100 more. Have you tried your PC through it?

Reading the forum on it now

Its nice and clear. Really its best to try and see it in action instore. I was able to have a fiddle with the settings before i bought it. I would try taking a 360 or a laptop with you and hooking it up. The staff shouldn't mind. I haven't been able to find the tech spec's on the panel but the box carried a HD ready logo on it if thats any help. I thought they couldn't be shown unless a screen was capable of HD res's
