still battering lumines on a semi-regular basis, dipping an occasional toe into the waters of thug 2 remix, and fifa arrived yesterday so that's getting a bit of play at the mo.

nintendogs and band brothers on the DS.

none of the consoles are set up as the landlord STILL hasn't got the new carpet sorted so they're barely getting a look-in at the moment. i need to go back and finish resi though, that's on my weekend to-do list.

I'm hoping to get properly stuck into Stella Deus tonight. It's very Final Fantasy Tactics, mechanically speaking. Looks gorgeous though. My only reservation so far is the fairly horrible voice acting. Oh, and the battle animations are quite long, which might get irritating.

I played some Paper Mario 2 the other night after finally working out how to get past this part I was stuck on. It looks so nice. Battles are kind of slow, at least there's not too many of them.

PS2: Lego Star Wars (and just finished ZoE2) and God Of War (fucked up pirate copy - will buy soon as it keeps crashing)

Xbox: Not much

PC: SW Galaxies

DS: Wario Ware (but pretty bored now)

PSP: Ridge Racers

GC: Rogue Leader 1 + 2

Of all those, Ridge Racers is easily the best, although SWG still gets a fair bit of play

Back on Donkey Kong Country 3 (xSnes9x) after figuring out how to kill a certain boss...

Also, I just got hold of Dangun Feveron for MAME - I've never played it before, so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like...

I really want to get this but I am only about 20-30 hours into Digital Devil Saga, God knows how much I've left to go. I'm really starting to get into RPG's/SRPG's but they don't half take up some time.

XBox - Deus Ex 2

GC - Zelda: WW

And Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures on the SNES, which is mostly excellent.

I've also been playing a fair bit of Broken Sword on the PC and have nearly finished it.

In general, some excellent games on the go.

XBox - Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition

PC - Battlefield 1942

Must find time for:

Gamecube - Resident Evil 4 (I'm well into the second disc, but can't be arsed to set it up)

PS2 - Star Ocean 3, Gradius 5 etc etc... (Last game completed on PS2 - Sands of Time)

DS - Wario Ware Touched (only got two gold crowns, gotta get 'em all)

Currently playing....

Track and Field (MameX) - Ideal for when my mates come around.

Hypersports (MameX) - Again, great fun with a few mates.

Gyruss (Arcade) - Fantastic music, and really fast paced gameplay. Superb!

Zookeeper (DS) - Bitesized gameplay. Ideal when waiting for the tea to cook.

PS2 : The Bard's Tale : Almost finished, if it weren't for the acid tongue of the narrator I might have put this down by now.

PC : (Tried to play) Crazy Cross : A university project gone wrong this seems to be some sort of odd send up of Final Fantasy. My PC wasn't up to the job though. see http://www.worksintheory.com/crazycross/ to see if it's your thing.

GBC : Mr Driller. My wife and I can't put this down.

GBA : Kingdom Hearts. I'm near the end now, just stuck on one of those awful boss creatures. Like has turned to indifference. Indifference has turned to hate. It's actually killed my enthusiasm for Kingdom Hearts 2.

Recently finished Chaos Theory, stuck on Second Sight :), so I've started Pariah :o It was delivered this morning from Amazon, which is amazing as it wasn't posted until 4.22pm yesterday.

On my DS is Electroplankton, Mario Kart, and Drill Spirits.

Well, I finished MGS3 a few nights ago. Nothing much I can add that hasn't already been said, but it has the greatest final third of any game I've ever played and the ending is just... poetic. I found it quite poigniant and adds even more depth to the MGS universe. *sniff*

Now for some reason, even though I have Ico waiting for my attention, I started Headhunter: Redemption after I finished MGS. And IMO, after a few hours play, this has to be one of the shitiest crapfests I've played this gen. Obviously it's not going to shine too brightly in the wake of RE4 and MGS3 which immediately preceded it, but that Edge review was spot on.

Currently playing MGS3. I ditched Luigi's Mansion when I got this, as there's no way I'm waiting to play it. I'm currently fighting the End and loving every minute of it.

Plus the game is stunning, visually and aurally. I could spend days just marvelling at the animals and hunting wabbits.

I also recently picked up Twin Snakes, just to play through MGS1's story again but in a different style, and got RE4 for my next game.

PS2: Stella Deus, DDS and a couple of other RPGs on the go. I don't have much time to play them now since I've got exams coming up but in the summer I'm looking to complete those two at the very least.

GC: Resident Evil 4, bought it on PAL release have barely played it and am slowly trawling my way through it(not to say it's bad, it's bloody ace). Again due to exams I don't have much time for it. Hopefully I can get stuck into it in the summer.

PSP: Lumines, Ridge Racers. Not really played either of them that much recently again for reasons stated above.

DS: Yoshi's Touch and Go, AW2, Naruto DS. My DS is getting a real workout at the moment, most of my gaming time has been spent playing on it.

Since finishing ICO back in February, I'm on a strict play-one-game-until-it's-finished-then-play-another regime, to stem spiralling purchases.

Finished Paper Mario 2 on Monday - loved it (apart from the dull as fook chapter set on the train). Really revitalised my enthusiasm for RPGs, (haven't touched one since tiring of FF9 on PS1, and KOTOR, which I just didn't seem to be very good at) but I imagine PM2 is a one off.

I can't be arsed with stats and stuff, and liked the fact that it was a cross between turn-based battles and platforming. Can't believed I clocked up over 40 hours on it. The proliferation of save points meant you could literally play it for 20 minutes, which is a Good Thing.

It was also the best-written game I think I've ever played - genuinely funny, and each of your team had a distinct character (reminds me of old Revolution gmaes on the Amiga). Top stuff. Any recommendations of games of this ilk (I doubt there's much out there) would be welcome.

So now I'm on Transformers, just got it for a tenner from Play.com - only played it for about an hour, but looks promising. Was surprised by the speed of the cars when you transform into one. Games like this make me think what it would have been like if I sat my 10-year-old self in front of it. I think my brain would have probably leaked out of my ears.
