Psp Tiger Woods Thread

Hello Goaty ♥

In some Amazingly shite design flaw..

the UMD case has a square slot that is open to the elements.

( imagine a floppy disc without that little cover that springs back & forth! )

I have a PSP and wondered how large and grubby all you guys fingers are? I've managed to avoid touching the disc so far. Does prolonged Ridge Racer playing cause swelling and clumsyness by any chance <_<

it's not a problem for handling, certainly no more than a normal CD, but storage is a pain in the arse, if they were fully enclosed like a minidisc I'd probably be happier about just flinging a few into my bag, at the moment I'm having to carry a couple of psp game boxes around, begrudge paying for any sort of protector. That said, I'm doing the same with my DS games, cos of the massive exposed contact.

I'm just carrying them around in my bag too. Are people still not using theirs in public too, Goaty thread a few weeks ago. I wandered around Asda the day after it arrived playing Wipeout :). Make sure you read the manual though.

BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS WHEN PLAYING YOUR PSP WHEN WALKING. But I need to concentrate on the screen not people, I'd rather crash into a person than lose a race ;)

Hi - this is my first post

I've got TW on my PSP

I caned TW2k4 on the xbox, so i think i know what i am talking about when it comes to the conversion so here's my two pennies about TW on the PSP

1) Control method can be a little bit fiddly, as the travel for the analogue stick is quite short so it's quite hard to make a "straight" swing, esp given that the psp could move in your hands - however i might caveat this by saying that i have only played with my new character who's stats a total crap, so my not-very-accurate-shots may be down to his poor stats

Oh and also it's only possible to scroll thru my club selection in one direction which is a little annoying

2) Load times aren't great, but are certainly bearable, i would say 10-15secs per hole

3) gfx are pretty good - almost the same as the xb version, plus the presentation is excellent - still get your commentaries and fly bys...there's even an option to skip the CPU's shots when you're in the legend tour, which i think is pretty good

4) however the gfx can be a little glitchy, i've noticed some clipping, and also the whites of your char's eye's can sometimes flicker on/off as your char moves, which made me think i had some dead pixels but it's a gfx thing

So all in all i think this isn't too bad as a launch title and a decent first stab

That pricing thing is a bit poor though.
