Doctor Who

Yeah, it was kind of signposted with the name Melody appearing at the start, and seemed more likely when she got the cloth gift from Lorna. Also when River met Rory and he asked if she knew him. The first time we saw emotion from her towards him. Also, should have realise - she was celebrating her birthday around the time the baby would have been born.

Post-credits preview ominous.

Guessed it as soon as I accidentally saw the baby's name spoiled, but that was brilliant all the same.

Of course this means that River is indeed part Time Lord, and that the little girl is probably her!

Definitely. The Doctor says 'it's already too late' when someone suggests they go to Earth to follow the baby - in other words, he's already seen what happens to the baby on Earth, in episodes 1 and 2 - he's already seen they have her until she's quite a few years old, at least.

I wish they'd refer to the TARDIS explosion and the Silence, though. And what the Silent says to Amy in Episode 2, 'we honour you, you will bring the Silence', definitely means the Silence and their plans are related to the baby.

HANG ON! Silence is the antithesis of Song/Melody...

Rory was indeed a (hot) bad ass mo fo

Could have done without another "Oh you think Amy's talking about The Doctor, but she means Rory" moment, but it was well done, and referred back his "She always knows that I am coming for her" speach in DotM.

"Do you want me to repeat the question"

We've still got to find out the whole thing about why she knows The Doctor's real name; it's not as if she's related to him or anything. I suppose she might hook up with him later on but I don't know what her parents are going to think about that.

She does hook up with him later on. They've done everything short of say the actual words that she hooks up with him. And they may even have done that, I'm not sure.

Between the "I'm a screamer", "Two Doctors is a different birthday" and some other comments it seems fairly certain they shack up

Since she was made as a weapon to kill the Doctor, this links everything suddenly back to the first two-parter. Did she kill the Doctor? Is that why she's in the Stormcage? She was imprisoned for killing a great man...but she was imprisoned by the monks...so....argh I don't know.

She's imprisoned by the the Omega group isn't she? I supposed it's best to lock up such a dangerous "weapon" so she doesn't turn against them. Even if their efforts are so woefully inadequate with the amount of escaping she does.

Or maybe she feels the guilt and insists on going back?

From the SFX preview any idea of the following (5 is only put in to give 6 context)

5 There are lots of suprise guests stars (and some will be a surprise) but unlike in “The Pandorica Opens” none of them feels wasted – they all have a chance to shine…

6 …Apart from one maybe

14 A throwaway line from last season becomes a major plot device

16 Somebody very unexpected is playing doctors and nurses

17 We get to see somebody’s muff

19 Look carefully at the monitor screens…

20 …And the corridors

Do you think RTD is somewhere cursing?

"When I put in gays it's an 'Agenda', but everyone LOVES Moffats Gay Anglican Marine jokes"

Also with the lesbians from ye olde London it was a very gay episode. I can't believe that scene got left in a kids show
