I wish the Eccleston had a longer run really, I was thinking about this today while I was washing up, true story. I thought he was a much darker Doctor than Tennant particularly in episodes like Dalek would have liked to have seen what he would have done with more time

Perhaps he could also tell

Tennant to stop saying 'Amaaazing!' so bloody often. Getting him to stop saying 'That's/this is impossible!' would be a bonus, too.

aren't they just becoming an irritant rather than a proper threat anymore?

It's a two parter.

I think the Daleks could do with a rest after this series, although I'd be a sucker for a 4 part epic complete with Davros. It does feel as though there's a fear that Who can't survive for a series without them and that maybe new Who has a limited shelf life.

I'm finding it hard to care what the face of boe has to say so expect me to be in full rant mode unless it is truly amazing.

I think one reason for the Dalek's numerous appearances must be the marketing aspect. I think the Dalek toys were HUGE sellers at Christmas and having them in this series will help ensure that is the same this year, I guess?

EDIT: agreed about the Face of Boe. I think it's a terrible character.

I'm going to hate myself for saying this 'out loud' in a Who thread, it just looks like a shit animatronic with no character.

the scary looking monster and the Scarecrows

were most disturbing.

loved the scarecrows another thing to terrify a generation of kids. The scary monster was ok but I'm always a little torn with cgi

I've only just seen that ep1 trailer from that Freema fansite that JayGo posted up and something obvious occurred to me about one of the baddies.

looks evil as hell. Surely the rumours are correct?

Can't believe this starts tomorrow. I'm ridiculously excited all over again. The trailer makes the tone of the whole thing look much darker than Series 2 - which is a good thing in my book.
