Anyone pick up the Radio Times today. Not read it yet but it has all the Episode titles in there.

Ep 13 is a pretty cool one :P

LAST OF THE TIMELORDS

which obviously refers to

another timelord who also thought they were the last survivor

god, I'm so cynical :)

Eps 8, 9 and 10 are the ones I cant wait for. Ep 10 in particular is supposed to be bloody scary and its by Steven Moffat. Ep's 8 and 9 are by Paul Cornell who also wrote the original book they are the reworkings of.

Yet another double episode with the Daleks? I wish they'd just drop them now.

Get shot of the bloke in the suit, his TARDIS, and everything else Doctor Who has been about and we're onto a winner.

Kids love the daleks and guess what, they have since 1963.

When you're tired of the Daleks, you're tired of Doctor Who.

:)

I like the look of all those titles, but the last one is obviously a biggie. I don't care if the content sounds a bit obvious, because that obvious content would be AMAZING.

Thanks for those episode titles cassidy. I added a comment to 2 of them, fairly obvious assumptions I suppose but I just want to be part of the pre-Who love in.

How often did they feature in the old shows, on a per season basis I mean?

There were hardly any Dalek episodes during Tom Baker's tenure. Two in fact, Genesis of the Daleks and Destiny of the Daleks, with a 5 year gap between the two stories. Peter Davidson only had two as well, and 5 Doctors doesn't really count. Colin Baker had 1, McCoy had 1...

I agree with Lordcookie, they should rest them, at least for 1 series.

Chalk up another vote for a rest. After the Series 1 finale it felt like Rose had wiped them all out - just that possibility would have made a return in Series 3 have much more impact. Though I do love that Episode 5 title - feels quite traditional.

I'm getting really excited now for the new series after having been distinctly non-plussed about Series 2 (aside from the obvious gems).

Gets a bit silly doesn't it. When series two was bad, it was really, really bad. I'm still a bit narked about the "new" Cyberman history, although it did at least make for a good finale.

As for the Daleks, the problem is that nothing has bettered Genesis, although Dalek was an interesting examination of the relationship between the Doctor and his main foes. Since then it's been a case of diminishing returns. If they'd brought Davros back it would have been jaw dropping.

Middle Earth indeed!

Saying that, I'm sure the Doctor's said before that all stories are true, or something. It's not an impossibility. :(

like when tennant was picking his cossie and said "too arthur dent, nice fella" or something when he picked out the pyjamas and dressing gown, and now they're doing an episode called 42?

Early seasons of Who though, hence me making the reference to 1963 as old Who had Daleks all the bloody time. Especially for Hartnell and Troughton.

Plus I dont think the Daleks are the big bad guys this season. Hence them turning up in

Ep 4/5

Do you think that will reduce their impact as villains? It is the main reason why I wanted them dropped because they were always the baddest bastards around yet The Doctor doesn't seem to have as much trouble with them anymore. If they do appear

early on in season 3

aren't they just becoming an irritant rather than a proper threat anymore?
