Doctor Who

I don't think it is...

from all the stuff so far, I think it's obvious that Billie doesn't actually die - she moves to the other universe. I really don't think we'll see Billie in Dr Who again... I'm also expecting this weeks to be a real tear jerker.

Why do I get the feeling it'll end up with Rose and her mum on the alternate Earth, reunited with her father? Surely Jackie must have been brought along for some reason other than an (admittedly good) Eastenders joke?

Brilliant!

I don't she'll be cyberised or dalekised - I don't see them actually doing anything nasty or traumatic to Rose physically... too many kids have too strong a bond and it's a family show. I think the family will be re-united in the alternate universe, Mickey and Pete will know how to get back, but it won't be Rose's choice to go there. The doctor will force her to leave and their last scenes may not be the happiest. She's died in that the life she had has come to an end and she's been completely removed from the other universe... she's moving to another universe where she shouldn't even exist, and she'll never see the Dr again.

I reckon the "you didn't need to kill him" from the trailer refers to the Dr Singh - and not any major character.

Hmm... Living somewhere else doesn't seem like dying to me. I think it'll be something different like becoming a timelord.

she looks a bit sad at the beginning of AoG though for someone who's just become an, effectilvely immortal, time lord who could probably meet up with the Dr as much as she wanted.

Also, she'd need her own Tardis to do that.

I agree she won't die but moving to another universe wouldn't be described as dying. Changing to another form might. I don't think she'll be cyberised either.

Rose=Face of Boe (sp?) also Black Dalek is Davros ? seem to remember he had a black "dalek" wheelchair

You know what I think would be utterly terrifying and fantastically cool at the same time? Just an idea of mine.

My idea is that the Void Ship is not a one off. A future Dalek race anticipated the end of their civilisation, so they built many Void Ships and sent them into the gap between dimensions with a small Dalek taskforce and a Genesis Ark in each. The Genesis Ark contains the "seed" of a new Dalek race, be it some kind of Dalek conversion device, the tools needed to build Dalek production facilities, or maybe even a Davros clone. Even if these Daleks are defeated and their Genesis Ark is destroyed, there could be dozens, hundreds or even thousands more Void Ships ready to take their place.

I'll scream if I'm right.

Some of that is right, so get ready to scream!

How does Twyford know!

There was a massive spoiler on IMdB several weeks ago, which has now been removed. I was looking for information on who had written each episode and stumbled upon something i really wish hadn't been on there.

Oh and the observation tower thing :)

If you want to stay away from any new assistant spoilers then steer clear of the BBC news today....

From the bbc website

Doctor Who's next assistant named

Newcomer Freema Agyeman is to take over from Billie Piper in the third series of Doctor Who, it has been revealed.

Agyeman, 27, will play Martha Jones in the next run of the drama, due to start filming in Cardiff this summer.

Regular viewers saw her in last week's episode where she played Adeola, a minor character who suffered at the hands of the Cybermen.

The current series of Doctor Who finishes on BBC One this Saturday and sees Piper leaving the show.

"When I first saw Freema Agyeman she had come in to audition for the part of Adeola in series two," said executive producer and writer Russell T Davies.

I've been keeping this secret from my friends for months

Freema Agyeman

"Watching her during filming confirmed what an exciting new talent she was, so under cover of darkness we called her back in to audition with David [Tennant] for the role of the new companion.

"It was an immediate and sensational combination."

Agyeman has previously been seen as Lola Wise in the soap Crossroads, and has had small parts in Casualty and The Bill.

The London-born actress was one of several names rumoured for the Doctor Who role, including singer Rachel Stevens and former Eastenders star Michelle Ryan.

"I've been keeping this secret from my friends for months," said Agyeman. "It's been driving me mad."

"It still hasn't quite sunk in, I'm sure it will slam home first day on set when I'm stood gazing at David Tennant."

Although she has now officially joined the cast, producers say Agyeman will not be featured in this year's Christmas edition of Doctor Who.

"We've got another surprise in store for that," said Davies.

The BBC had refused to comment on reports that her character, Rose Tyler, dies in the final episode of the series.

However, last week's episode opened with a voice-over from the character saying: "This is the story of how I died."

Piper, 23, is currently filming a BBC adaptation of Philip Pullman's Victorian thriller The Ruby in the Smoke.

"Billie rightly built up an amazing fan base and she will be missed," said Agyeman, "but I hope the fans are willing to go on new adventures with me."

todays teaser doesn't really reveal anything -

4 daleks in the void ship room surrounding the genesis ark, Mickey and Rose looking on. Dr is listening in to what's happening. Daleks say 'we must protect the genesis ark' - cut to Dr's face, looking puzzled and saying to himself - 'genesis ark?'
