This is brilliant. Between this and the last episode, this is the first time I've enjoyed - or even watched a full episode of - Doctor Who in years and years. Those 2D zombies look insanely cool.

Yeah, the last two weeks have been great. Most of the series has been pretty great actually, certainly one of the best. I'm loving Clara's arc too. I've never disliked her as some have, but she's had some real character development this time around and it's fantastic.

This episode was brilliant. Fun, scary and coherent. I loved the bit when he was walking the Tardis with his hand, like a hermit crab.

I've lived in Bristol for 31 years and I've never heard anyone speak like this policewoman.

I stayed there last year and everyone talked like a pirate.

The hair band moment was my favourite bit: it turned what would otherwise be a typically lazy self-sacrifice (especially the earlier season tended to that a lot) into a great joke. Mummy on the Orient Express was a bit tighter script wise and more interesting visually, but this one had even more interesting ideas and a great one-liner about every two minutes. Capaldi's hand waving was also glorious and Clara's development this season is becoming something pretty interesting...

He thought she was too happy at the end. People died and she was acting completely opposite to how she felt previously about that. If the Dr went around going hey look at me ( he does a bit) but he just goes on to the next thing without a partay. She saw that as cold, but now we see its just the only real way you can react .
