A really good episode!

I liked the very brief bit of Auton-misdirection, with the shots of the mannequins, when the alien was introduced.

I particularly enjoyed

the Eleventh Doctor lookalike gag. Although it did remind me of a very similar joke from Sherlock...

Fantastic episode - Doctor Who seems to have become a lot more grown up. Capaldi is now cementing himself as my favourite doctor. Perfect mix of odd, aloof and cuntishness. Loved the sign on the door. No more gushing about humans.

As someone who hated David Tennent, didn't mind Matt Smith but didn't really bother watching it much, Dr Who has now become must see television for me now.

Capaldi has been a breath of fresh air and I hope he keeps playing the Dr for many years to come.

I wasn't expecting much from the trailer, but that was fantastic. The concept was obviously similar to School Reunion, but the episodes couldn't have been more different thanks to Capaldi's Doctor being a grumpy git. An awesome grumpy git.

It had its awkward moments (Moffat's writing sometimes seems to fit better on page than on screen) but it was again a great episode. It was nice to have an episode that focused more on characters than plot, it now finally feels like this new Doctor has been established the same way the previous ones were. Unlike others here I loved the Tennant and Smith, but Capaldi could actually turn out to be the funnest of them all.

The next ep looks kinda generic, but

those are probably the scariest spiders I've ever seen.

That's the first one I've really liked Capaldi as The Doctor. Just the right amount of sarcasm and exasperation.

Clara cracking up was also well handled. Hoping the second half of the season steps it up a gwlear now he's bedded in.

I like Capaldi because for the first time in years, he’s alien in a way that only Strax has been in the new Who. I think Matt Smith was to a degree but he was also charming with it whereas Capaldi just doesn't really have any understanding of, or care about, human social convention.
