That was the worse episode of Who I can remember.

I don't think I can even blame Matt Smith now. The writers are shit. And that must have eaten into the budget a bit!

Regen was the best bit. Capaldi needed a few more lines. It wasn't a deus ex machina, it was Chekhov's gun. Don't have a crack in the wall with timelords pushing through if you aren't going to fire. But it was a nerd fan episode.

Two problems though; the pacing was well off, probably the fault of the 900 year thing. Secondly, Clara hasnt established herself so they needed to bring back Amy for the emotional payoff. They should have written season 7 so it was Amy saving the Doctor, to be honest.

I'm sorry, but when an actor picks up the gun and it turns the set into a potato and half the characters into dogs, it isn't Chekhov's gun any more.

Seems like everyone involved in Doctor Who needs an editor to tell them no. Moffat has done exactly the same as RTD in disappearing up his own arse and wanting to do bigger and flashier things every time but at least RTD's worst efforts actually had a discernable plot.

I just couldn't follow this one at all. The extra regens coming from Galifrey was fine (I think). I just didn't really get the rest of it.

Anyway. Please switch to smaller stories next year. Lets have Peter Capaldi saving villages not universes.

What was difficult to understand guys? Seriously, you must all have been barely paying attention - or drunk. I thought it was pretty good really, much better than the last one. Although I couldn't help wondering why if the tardis could come and go whenever the doctor didn't just put everyone in it and relocate them rather than watch them all die. As far as the extension of the regen limit, it was obvious he'd be granted more by the timelords from the anniversary episode onwards. And it's not the first time someone has been given more either.
