Doctor Who

Oh wow, it's burned into mine alright. I was 5 when it aired and the Scaroth face reveal and the scientist's death by ageing are two of my earliest Who memories.

Watching it as an adult it's just a joy though. So funny.

The worst ones for me were from the same story; the Master's face in the clock, and Tom Baker's foot trapped in some railway tracks. At least I think they were the same story, I should probably watch it again. I don't want to say the title because Sprite Machine spoilers

The moments you remember are from the Deadly Assasin Steev. Just watched it myself a couple of days ago.

Excellent. I knew the face was for sure, definitely going to watch it again. Oh boy, there was some other mental Kill Tom! stuff along with the train track in that sequence wasn't there? Careful of spoilers for Sprite though!

Genesis. Tom and the wires

Laughing clowns, WW1 gas masks, creepy surgeons, North by North West plane attacks, Samurai Warriors, drowning, and the aforementioned train tracks. The Deadly Assassin has it all. The Discontinuity Guide called episode 3 "a visual and intellectual tour de force of hallucinatory images", and they weren't wrong.

Was my first ever purchased Target. From Newports John Menzies.

Prior to that my local library had a huge selection of hardback WH Allen ones. Never had the courage to read Terror of the Autons. The cover was proper scary when your 7.

Semi-guaranteed? I'd've preferred RTD to come back and knock out an episode than the shite I sat through this evening.

At least with RTD it was normally spectacularly bad in that way that it would encourage good rants and piss-taking. This was just painfully boring and the sort of thing you'll forget you ever watched in a couple of hours.
