It does. Seems to be a bit more, erm.. realistic . Texture wise, the road surface looks better and the barriers on the inside look cool too. Hard to tell from one shot, I know, but I like the look.

yeah, it's strange how Nintendo have shyed away from producing console versions of their mario kart franchise...

apparently has 24 tracks too.

I reckon it will be ported to the cube at some point, perhaps maybe it will come out as a launch title for revolution with a crapload of extras.

I see a return of coins on them their tracks... could this be Namco doing Mario Kart like Sega did F-Zero... I hope so, alos I hope we see a home conversion but my spidey senses are saying no

aha! and it wasn't so long ago that there was that sad 'controversy' about DD! getting 5 in a certain mag. So you actually do think it's not all that good, then?

Cant see any weapons etc though? Also you get a timer now, although thats probably like most arcade type games.

If it never does get ported, rest safe in the knowledge that it should be playable in MAME in about 10 years time

Theres a blue shell clearly visible in the top shot there. Weapons present and correct! Assume that silver 'pod' thing on the left side of the HUD will open up when you get a weapon.

The left hand shuttered icon (below the posand lap display) looks like a weapon window to me if you look at the cab shots there seems to be some kind of weapon assignment going on. There maybe no waepon pickups on the track though!
