The only thing that sort of came to mind that I'd attempt through the decal editor is that Porsche Transformer thing. I was going to do one up like that :D

Syntax, I wouldn't advise tuning everything up that you have 'cos there are some restrictions placed on cars in later events. A couple of cars I have that would have been suitable aren't anymore.

Also, the AI really makes this game although is does have its flaws. When starting a race, don't move anywhere for a couple of seconds and you'll see what I mean :D

I hope to have some proper play time on this tonight.

damn screengrabber is doing my head in - can grab screens of my dashboard perfectly, try it ingame though and it just gives me a blackscreen :D

the version i grabbed was only 2 meg - the version on bt is 47 meg ... can anyone tell me what files are in the bt version

You probably got the same xig2 I did, without the debug application/libraries? I guess that adds bloat to the package? I dunno... sega kid is best answering that one.

It'd be great if he could help some of us actually get the package too :D yousendit.com, anyone? Please?

Yeah, I notcied that when I was going to tint my windows and it warned me that I would not be able to enter certain racetype with blacked out windows B)

EEK! dont make me test the AI and ruin the illusion. They give me a great and convincing race at the minute. I love it when I get in a duel and manage to outbrake one of them coming up to a corner and he fucks up and goes flying off the track!

Hopefully I can get screengrabber tonight, that would be so sweet!

Ordered one of these. Dunno if it is any good like, I'd imagine it can't be too bad. No memory card slot though, might be interesting on Live. "No voice, *boot*" kind of moments :lol: No pedals either but I've tried some cheap third-party crap before and they were wank.

Anybody any progress with the snappy shot thingy? Please? Love you long time?

I didn't think I'd like this and had lost my apetite for racers, but this is really good isn't it. I crashed into a wall last night, and the car strted steering left on it's own. Such a small thing, but I was amazed that damage actually had an effect other than cosmetic.

Think I'll have to get the proper version for some live races. Haven't really read this thread through, but just spotted the decal stuff - interesting. Must try it out

Yeah, it can also induce some weird vibrations from your pad, feeling like you have a buckled wheel B)

The game is so polished its scarey!

At the minute for me this is a Edge 10. I will deliver my definitive appraisal after I have unlocked more tracks and cars.

Ooh, I forgot to say. Yesterday, I did have a quick go around the track. The Drivatar's were all "upgraded" to match the class I was in (or did I pick a hard event, I can't remember...) BUT, to my surprise, one of the cars (a 200SX, iirc) had some wicked paint job on it. Red with black streaks on it. First 'custom' car I've seen in a race.

Drivatar's are expensive to use in game too. It cost me ~5,000cr for a race, leaving me with about 1,000cr profit. You can counter this by using a rarer car and larger cash prizes. If he'd have fucked up, there'd be little profit so it is important to train a decent Drivatar. You can't save the replays when you use one though, shame.

its really quite simple to get the screengrabber app to work, just download the one of sky and unzip it, this gives you 4 folders. the CONTENTS of the folder called debug_e goes on your xbox e drive, the CONTENTS of debug_c goes on your c drive. then the WHOLE FOLDER called debug mode goes on your xbox e drive, in the apps section. now, reboot your xbox and go to apps and debug mode will be there, select it, then it will ask for a name, anything will do (?)

you will then find yourself in the debug menu, use settings to set up a ip address for debug mode(NOT the same as your default dashboard, i just changed the last digit by one) now simply launch unleashx (included) and boot up Forza!!!!

now, on your pc open the fourth folder called XIG2 and run it, enter the ip address of your debug mode in the bottom left corner, then click settings and create a folder to store your screenshots in.

now simply click "capture" and the app will take a screenshot of your xbox!!!

if nothing happens at all, that means your ip settings are wrong. (it took me a couple of attempts to get it right)

once you've got it set up correctly its a doddle to use, as all the settings get saved, and theres no messing about! B)

Which mag do you think will give it a 5, just for controversy? Games TM, who love to underscore at least 1 game a month by miles, or EDGE, who've been slagging the game off royally in recent previews and may not want to change their minds?

That's not the problem I have, sega_kid; I can't GET the file off of xbox-sky to begin with.  The package doesn't seem to be available from anywhere else, not with all the debug stuff.

Argh. I would hate to say. I really hope both mags give it the score it deserves (at the VERY least an :huh:. I would go with a ten. Is it revolutionary? Maybe. But Edge no longer cites that as criteria. It is simply the most complete racing game that this generation has, or could deliver. At what it sets out to do it is as good as it could be imo. Which is a ten.

Burnout 3 or Outrun 2 are a perfect compliment to this. you quite simply need never look at another racer this generation. Everything you need is in those three titles.

yep, you always have to go via debug mode, then unleash.

i guess you could put your own dash in instead of unleash (i use evo x) but i think ill just leave it for fear of messing somrthing up! <_<
