I was pretty interested when I heard The Sword had done a sci-fi record, but truth be told I'm having the same problem with it I've had with all their albums. It's just so tonally homogeneous and that I get bored after about three songs, with pretty much every song sounding exactly the same as the last.

Sexypandus is onto something. Der ner - der ner ner - der ner ner - DER NER NER (and repeat)

Yeah man. They're Sleep-lite.

Although I don't really like Sleep in the first place, but shhh!

You could've just listened to a song on youtube, like...

Speaking of which, I've been listening to this monstrosity:

It's pretty filthy

Dirty fuckers aren't they! I love em.

Like a weird hybrid of Sven Vath and Revolting Cocks.

Playing at the underworld on the 25th october too!

This song is a fucking belter too:

I've been listening to The Inalienable Dreamless. That's a crazy album. So weird atmosphere. And I put Rwake on to go to sleep to last night

Shrinebuilder is really good to fall asleep to, especially if you're *ahem* intoxicated.

I've not been around for a week and don't read this thread too often either but has anyone heard much about Scars On Broadway? Official site.

They've released an album called Scars on Broadway.

I'm a massive System of A Down fan but never really enjoyed much of Malakian's vocals so I'm not sure if this is worth a purchase. Has anyone got this album yet and, if so, is it any cop?

Woo! Won Morning Star by Entombed for £2.99 on eBay :D I love Entombed.

Congratulations! Probably the best of their full-on death'n'roll era and third best album after Wolverine Blues and Left Hand Path.

Any Blind Guardian fans around here? If so, which are their best albums? There's a gig on in London next month and a mate is trying to drag me along with him. He's mainly into grindcore these days but has a massive soft spot for Maiden and Blind Guardian.

I'm sure I'll get some shit for this, but just listening to my Metal mp3 playlist and going through some of my DragonForce songs...is it me or do they all tend to run together after a while? The lyrics tend to be either about epic battles, glory, honour, dragons, or honourable dragons in glorious battles. Or battling glorious dragons honourably.

Joking aside, I do mean this, they play so fast eventually it all seems to sound the same after awhile.
