Yeah great show. I love the fact that for once we get an American show that isn't compromised by American middle-class sensibilities and Network butchery. It's uncompromisingly brutal and graphic with plenty of forced arse-banditry :( . Brilliant.

Indeed.

So many stabbings of both kind, each episode. Yet still, a feeling of cozyness and community sometimes. Its a very gripping show, probably only topped recently by Six Feet Under in terms of HBO shows.

Its a shame the American license for Queer as Folk went to Showtime and not HBO as it was planned. That would have been special. The Showtime version was nothing but cheap, tacky porn.

What happened with that prisoner (the 'main' one) shagging that female security guard? Last time this was on I remember that happening, but I can't remember how they tied it up.

I seem to remember he wanted to stop doing it. I think he managed to, but I can't remember how now. It's so long since Channel 4 last showed it.

Not since the days of 4Later (R.I.P).

It's on again tonight, 3 episodes in a row. But christ is it brutal. I can watch almost anything without flinching but sometimes with Oz I have to look away. Not bloody surprised it's on very late night. They should invent a new rating for this, maybe 21 or 22.
