I love the KLF

I have two KLF albums: The White Room, and Chill Out.

They're both amazing. Properly amazing, not ironically amazing. I had The White Room on in the car this morning, and it still sounds wicked bad.

Also, I saw the video for 'America: What Time is Love' on MTV Dance at the weekend, and even that still sounds good.

And the 303 on What Time Is Love is ace.

The KLF might well be my favourite group ever. There used to be a great site called Last Tram to Mancentral that had everything KLF ever recorded available to download and some KLF tracks are just about impossible to get hold of now, try getting "K Foundation Presents The Red Army Choir Performing: K. Cera Cera (War Is Over If You Want It)" only released in Israel/Palastine.

I have just about every album, 12" and 7" they released, the two you have are the best but I would also check out 1987/Shagtimes for some older but still good stuff, anything by the JAMS, Disco 2000, K Foundation, One World Orchestra and The Moody Boys. Most of it has dated horribly but some of it sounds brand new still.

If anyone is feeling bored on Christmas day in London there is a shop called Blackoff opening for a one day sale of art by Jimmy Cauty. I have heard that the KLF will be releasing a new Christmas single under one of their guises, only available in the shop for that one day only.

Both albums are superb. I remember hearing that the KLF were going to stop pressing copies of The White Room CD, and I didn't have a copy then. Not even on LP, I was going into Hereford that day. Probably the worst place to buy records/CDs etc.., but luckily Woolworths had a copy hidden behind a few CDs. Boy was I pleased :)

Although now you can quite easily buy both CDs, mostly on import. I do love Madrugada Eterna though on Chill Out, such a classic chillout tune. But Wichita Lineman is also utterly brilliant, and deserves being played LOUD!

Time to play both CDs :)

I've been a massive fan of The KLF since my student years (88 - 92). Have got loads of stuff by them, downside being a lot of it's on tape. Also got the "KLF, Live from Trancentral" Video (Basically, the videos of What Time Is Love, 3AM & Last Train - interspersed with lots of their model making scenes, lnking it together).

If you like Chill Out by The KLF, try and find a copy of Space. Similar to Chill Out, but lots of beeps, space noises & plenty of The Planets Suite, by Gustav Holst. Fantastic!

Even the ltd KLF/Extreme Noise Terror 7", which you had to send off from a NME advert?

About that single, it's being released only on Christmas Day as a download from a site (which site I don't know, forget to write it down when Planet Sound mentioned it :D ). Plus I believe the single is by Jimmy Cauty only.

Nope, as I said I have just about all their records I'm missing KLF/ENT (Although I do have the Bootleg - Discipline 3AM) and one or two other 7" which are for all intents and purposes impossible to get now. One of which is the one I mentioned but there are a few limited editions that are just as difficult to find, most notably one of the Kyle Said To Jason 12" and the record I want the most 1987 The Sound Of Mu(sic) 12"

Bummed about the Christmas single, thought it was going to be a proper KLF release. Never mind.

I don't think so, Bill Drummond must have made a few quid from his books and Cauty I guess is making money from art now.

Plus I have been told that the whole million burning thing was witnessed appropriately so they could simply get the money back from the Bank of England.

There are two files available on the eMule network, [The KLF].CD1.Albums.rar and [The KLF].CD2.Singles.rar. Allegedly they have absolutely everything they ever released. As a test I just checked and it does indeed have that Israeli "Ke Cera Cera" mentioned above.

The files are around 650MB each.

It seems to be here: www.blacksmoke.org

(it's an advent calendar - click on number 25)

I quite liked it, although unfortunately it's streaming so gets a bit jumpy on my PC. Can anyone rip it and make it available as an mp3?

Did you know you can get Bill Drummond to come to your house and cook you soup?!

I read an article in The Guardian some time last year, how Bill has got in to making soup. He's got a website for it, you write to him and he'll consider turning up & cooking for you and a few friends. I was very tempted to write, but never got around to it...

Man, what a difference time makes. Apart from Chill Out I possibly haven't listened to any KLF in a decade. I went through a bit of a phase of buying Cauty's stuff, mostly because my wife knew the gallery owner where a lot of it was sold, but aside from that nada. I'm almost afraid to go back to it in case I don't like it anymore.

Fingers crossed they tour this year. I saw Bill at the screening of his natural symphony documentary in 2014, maybe last year, can't remember. Great QnA afterwards and he came up and sat in the seat right next to me and let me ask a couple of questions, great guy.
