Nomenclature pointed out that I was a dumbass for missing out what was clearly the best "so shit it's great" film of all time: STEEL JUSTICE.

Synopsis:

Dad is a cop, son is a little boy. Cop buys son small robot dinosaur, son subsequently gets blown up by an angry street gang with a rocket launcher. Cop meets a black Jesus in a flashback. Son's spirit pocesses the small toy robot. Inexplicably the toy robot grows into "Truckosaurus" and beats the gang to a pulp with its ability to breathe fire and lift up cars.

Isn't that thing in a few episodes of the Simpsons? I never for a moment thought that was a reference to anything!

I saw that at the Cinema when it came out. Loved it. Arnie wasn't famous then and he doesn't speak. It's a live action RoadRunner knock off.

Fantastic Film.

As is Amazon Women on the Moon as someone mentioned. Don "No Soul" Simmons, Harvey Pitnik, "Ray!?" - so many great moments. The funeral is perhaps my personal favourite.

But as a recommendation, try The Glove starring John Saxon. Awful film, but seems to fit what you're after.

battlefield earth 'Shut it rat bag!'

And James Cameron's greatest ever feature, Piranha 2. It manages to rip off both alien and jaws in one comedy classic. The highlights are the mutant piranhas bursting out of people's stomachs and the amazing scene at the end where happy go lucky tourists go the beach only to find flying blookthirsty piranhas coming out of the waves.
