Looks much better (more real I'd say) in 1080p than in the lower resolutions imo (seen it in 480p, iphone format and 1080p).

Just watch the 1080p trailer and yeah, much more effective in big.

Hopefully now we can forget all the hype and just look forward to seeing the film with readjusted expectations.

I've just watched it again in 1080p on my 40" TV, and it does look great, to be honest. The shot of the helicopter thing landing in the forest looked incredible, and it only looks CGI because we know it's CGI. The characters look much more solid than anything in the Star Wars prequels.

However, I can't say the the 'world' grabs me just yet. It all seems a bit twee, really.

It looks like that Final Fantasy movie from quite a few years back, but far more advanced. I expected this to be using CG but to look absolutely real. It doesn't so in that sense it's disappointing. I was expecting something really revolutionary effects wise. Judging it for what it is though - a CG animated movie, it looks amazing. I can't wait to see what kind of awesome epic scenes a director of Cameron's pedigree will come up with.

It looks incredible; the music in the trailer is fantastic and the some of the action scenes looked incredibly dynamic. Quite emotional as well, the shot at the end of the two aliens embracing looked great.

It does look like CGI, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I was a little underwhelmed because the CGI people did look a fair way from convincing but it looked stunning and some of the imagery was fantastic. I'm not really fussed about them not being ultra-realistic people as long as the story (and action) backs up all we've seen.

Would like to see more soon.

Ugh I have not got my booking confirmation either! I'm sure there has been a mistake or something. I wonder how long it had been up before I registered? Vemsie, did you book the 7pm or 9pm one? I did the 7pm.

Now I'm going to be wondering if the glasses 'fix' it until December...
