How does Metroids procreate?

.::: 24 hours of constant bombardment with beta-rays will make them multiply (oh yes, there can be a queen producing eggs, but this seems only to happen in a natural environment). They are a combination of machine and life, pretty much like everything the Chozo made. They're not on the verge of extinction, that's to happen in part II. Which is Echoes sequel until they squeeze in a third Prime-part.

Also kind of ironic the Pirates are already using them for what the GaFe is to find out in Super Metroid. The little buggers are excellent energy-sources.

Oh, and I've past that food-log already. :rolleyes: There are many more fun ones, they really add to the game.

Dark Suit get!

Finally back at the point were I've ended last time.

The Dark Suit doesn't negate all Dark Aether damage, instead it lessens it. So it's still hopping from bubble to bubble, only less quickly...

Current stats to give you an idea of length.

Samus 1 | Dark Agon Wastes 19% | Elapsed 02:07 | Scans: 39% | Items: 19%

Probably as big as Prime I guess.

Oh yes, four maps in multiplayer with two more to unlock (probably need to complete the main game).

I scanned 40% of all logs and have unlocked the Promotional Gallery. :rolleyes:

Also the gameworld is starting to make more sense. One temple seems to act like a hub now... It's also more assignment-driven, probably to counter the complaints about backtracking in the previous one.

.::: Had a fun puzzle with a nice 'goodie-experience' at the end. I'm now in Torvus Bog which will probably become Echoes' Phendrana. Only with more plants and water. :rolleyes:

Music is becoming something memorable now as well. It seems the game is finally picking up after a rather mundane start. If puzzle-progress and such are going in the same line as well, then there's light at the end of the tunnel. ;)

Holy crap... I think I now get the lesser save points thing. They're trying to scare the shit out of you with certain enemies. Havn't had a decent save in quite some time now, as well. I'm feeling very cautious and very scared.

Why the hell so little save points!? I've been playing 45 minutes without a save! I've even opened the hint system in a desperate attempt to get locations (need to sleep as well), but I didn't get any! So guess what happens next? I get stuck in a collission detection glitch with one enemy Morph Ball-raping me for four minutes before I die!!!!

Must. Not. Break. Disc.... *anger!*

Music as good as the original then? The Title theme? Hm hm?

.::: Prime has a far stronger soundtrack as of yet. Echoes' title theme is great, but so far only the Torvus Bog had 'remarkable' music. I'm hoping for more memorable pieces though. Something as catchy as Tallon Overworld, Magmoor Caverns or Phendrana Drifts has yet to be heard.

I'm still flabbergasted about that save point incident last night. Makes playing for short bursts a hell as well.

I think it's not going to appeal in that way. For all intentions it feels far more Zelda. I've been ordered to fetch 3 keys for a temple and now have to do that again for temple number two. It feels like it has lost it's free-roaming and is now linear again, with only some items hidden away in earlier areas.

While this has been mostly the case with Metroid, it always had a thin layer covering the linearity up with some back and forth travelling. This feels different now. But not in a Fusion-way, if you catch my drift. It's 'lower' than that.

[edit] To clarify, I disapprove of the Zelda-style in a Metroid-fan way. For how it's working, the game's going fine. Except for those frickin' save points... Grrr.

.::: Just did the same part again... I've double checked EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY, and you just have to do a 45-minute/1-hour part without any save points...

Madness, find it slightly irritating, but I can only begin to guess what casual gamers will think of it. Never mind everybody here who doesn't like the upped difficulty.

OMFG, DVDBO shipped the fucking game, even though i sent them numerous emails telling them to cancel it. i think the first time i asked them to cancel it was three weeks ago. i emailed them again about 2 weeks ago and again 2 days ago. today, i checked my shipped items and it was there. what should i do?

.::: You need to discover the patterns more. Just barging in armcannon ablazing ain't gonna help you much here. I just defeated the Boost Guardian and it's do-able, but some persons who don't/didn't get Prime's way of thinking will be slaughtered. Hard.

The underwater segment of Torvus Bog has the Brinstar Red theme from Super Metroid! Just what I needed, amazing what a piece of music can do to your mood.
