I think I should point out that my beef (and hence cancelled order) was with DVD Box Office and NOT VG+. It wasn't just the high cost for shipping (I mean, how much does this thing weigh anyway) - but more the fact I was almost certain to get hit with custom charges on top. Hopefully the VG+ers will have their stuff marked down as usual and if not avoid it completely, would be a lot lower.

Can a VG+ buyer please confirm the price they charged? Was it the full $250 CAD or the $180 that MoFo2 mentioned earlier?

Despite having been emailed a receipt for the DS unit + mario (so they've charged for it) there's been no details of the shipping yet.

And to 'rub it in' (ho ho) Feel The Magic arrived this morning, argh! I want to join the Rub Rabbits, damnit!

the tracking number will arrive once the unit has been shipped and your account updated, they sent out tracking numbers last night at 1am (our time). I asked them yesterday when they would issue them and they said they were backlogged but would send them out as soon as possible.

Be patient and it will probably arrive laster today or early in the morning tomorrow.

They'd probably be able to get the tracking numbers out a lot quicker if you didn't all keep emailing them every two seconds! :P

I might ask what the weather is like there.

DO I CANCEL THE PRE ORDER OR NOT! I NEED TO DECIDE :P

I'm order 6579 and no news lately, but as long as I have it to help me endure christmas I'm easy.

Oh anyone else order the 3-pack of spare styli/styluses/whatever? Maybe that was a mistake as I still have a 3-pack of gameboy printer roll kicking about somewhere. . .

I'm getting quite moist now that I know my DS will be winging it's way towards me by Friday at the latest. I'd resigned myself to a two week wait minimum, so this morning's email was a special moment.

Feel the Magic turned up today as well. This is the first time I've had new software without the hardware to play it on. It's adding to the excitement.

Yeah, I'll get it done in the morning, just it's never happened to me with any other online retailers before. Hope I don't miss the first shipment.  ;)

Play-asia asked me to do that for a console from them. But they asked for a photocopy of my card. When I asked Egg they said not to do it, as i would not be covered for misuse then. I got around it by switching to Paypal payment as you are verified on that already.

Not so bad if they just want your passport and address verified.
