If anyone else has an order with Play-Asia, they have just sent this announcement:

My second DS is on order with them (one for me, one for the girlfriend), so I'm off to sign-up to have a Japanese one if it becomes available sooner.

Ta for that.

I'm guessing that my best bet for getting one of these before Crimbo is to order a Jap one from Play-Asia then?

Maybe a dumb question, but are the games multi-language? I.e. if I bought a Jap SM64DS would I be able to play it in English, or am I best ordering a Jap console and a US game?

well some sort of update email for everyone would be nice. as it is i have heard nothing for almost week.

the reason people pre-order is to get something on launch, as demand is expected on a product. VG+ should have known this and stated that they maybe a delay, alot earlier than two weeks ago.

they have dug their own hole by excepting so many thousands of pre-orders.

i have sympathy to a point - but if they are that small they should have had the forcite to inform customers they may be a problem much earlier.

What do you want them to do? Magic new DS machines out of thin air, and deliver them to you via a Kelly Brook shag o gram?

My experience of VG+ is that they actually care about games - certainly more so than DVDBoxoffice, and any retailer I've spoken to in this country (With perhaps the exception of Simplygames, who's customer service has always been excellent to me, even when I've been a right arse!)

I imagine they EXPECTED to get all the machines, and they haven't. In fact no one has.

Blame Nintendo if anyone.

Seems to be shit load on ebay, it pisses me off these people on ebay get there hands on some and just want to make a few quid on them yet people who want the machines and have pred them aint got any. ahh well, maybe vg+ should have aired on the side causion and placed a little note on the ds order about maybe not filling it striaght away then none of this bad blood people have for them would have happend.

Did anyone else make the mistake of ordering their DS from DVDBO?

I gather that VG+ has lowered the original price (was it $250 down to $180). DVDBO are not - they are charging the full $250.

I can't decide whether to cancel mine or not. I ordered quite early, so may get one soon . But then again, they still haven't sent me GTA:SA which I ordered a week before release.

Can someone confirm the VG+ price? I think I may well tell them to stick it...

Both still seem to be charging around the $250 mark (Canadian Dollars).

Oh, and it would be great if people who have received a shipping confirmation could post order numbers and date when they come to smugly brag about their good luck.
