has anyone had the preorder info from lik-sang sent out today? i did and it's mad - no idea about getting one early though. still, i have weinberg in case.

what are lik sang saying then? i've got mine on preorder from them but i haven't had an email :D

Setting of Alternative Versions:

You will find an option on the above page which allows you to set alternative versions for your Nintendo DS system. If you have ordered a Nintendo DS US system, Lik Sang recommends setting the second choice to a Japanese unit and the third choice to an Asian version. For your convenience, this has been set as default. If you do not wish to receive an alternative system, please set the selection to N/A and then click on save.

This is the only way to make sure you will get your hands on the Nintendo DS as soon as enough units are available. Nintendo DS is region free, all accessories are compatible and the only difference will be the user guide and packing (English user guides are available to download from Nintendo.com).  Lik Sang will not ship an alternative system if your first choice is available.

Adding Games and Accessories:

At the very same page you will also be available to add games or accessories to your order. It is now confirmed that numerous GBA SP accessories will work with the Nintendo DS, and Lik Sang has already made available the world’s first third party manufactured Nintendo DS accessories. There is also a small selection of first party and licensed accessories.

Free Partial shipments of games and other items:

It is also possible to add games to your order that don’t yet have a release date. Lik Sang will simply ship the available goods as soon as the system is available, and your remaining items will be shipped free of charge by Global Priority once they are released.

All Nintendo DS games are eligible for the Free Shipping Worldwide promotion.

Paying for Your Order:

The easiest way to pay for your pre-order is by credit card. Using this way, you won’t have to worry about sending payment – your order will be charged when the parcel is on the way. This is the recommended method of payment.

If you are unable to pay by credit card, you have to use PayPal, direct deposit or another offline method to submit payment. In order to keep your pre-order position, Lik Sang needs to receive payment within 48h after the deadline. In order to avoid pre-payment, it is recommended to enter your credit card details for payment.

Shipping Methods:

The available shipping methods are Airmail, UPS, DHL and EMS Speedpost. All parcels are automatically insured (except Airmail which is limited to $100) and only UPS and DHL can be tracked online. Are you really that sad?

I am just as sad as everyone else here that VG+ wont be sending us our DS systems that we have been waiting so long for. Im just trying to help everyone see that there are more options avialable to get DS elsewhere so we aren't dissapointed on release day.

IMO if you haven't got a preorder in by now you have no chance of getting a DS on lauch day no matter where you order from. Well Ebay would be an option if you want to get ripped off. As long as I have one by Xmas I don't care I have plenty games to keep me happy at the moment. I havent even start Halo2 yet. Damn u GTA SA

No DS confirmed as yet, but they just shipped out some of my games for the little beasty........

Well VG+ said in there email to me that they will be contacting people by the end of week. So I suspect the people who are getting there DS's will hear today or tommrow

Yeah its killing me the wait guess if i dont get a first batch one ill cancel and pay an extra few quid and get it from a uk based supplier who should get restock sooner. <_<

I dont know but the crazyness of some posts laterly seem to think canada will struggle to get extra units, And a local import has differnt contacts to get other units.

Thats where I am at the moment. I'm only just picking up The Minish Cap today, so the GBA will get next weeks journeys if the DS is a little delayed.

It'll come, as long as mine comes before my mates, I'll be happy!

I see my order at VG+ has the price of the DS changed from approx USD200 to approx USD180, still including courier shipping. The price "out in the store" still stands at USD250 or something which it has been since they put it up for pre-order. Must have happened recently as I've checked now and then. Hopefully this is a good sign.

Called VGP yesterday.....

They have got some DS's in

BUT only about 30 at present, they will ship tomorrow apparently. I enquired where I am on the list, im estimated to be in the 200 mark on the pre-order list (ordered on the 24th Sept). The guy apologised and stated that they have more coming from several sources, but they do not know how many. Apparently they have had several thousand ordered.

Im not confident I'll get one that soon, although he is hopefully of fulfilling as many as he can over the coming weeks.

If I recall correct they had 6000 pre-orders

No how idea reliable the source is as it is taken from another forum

Personally, having access to a PS2 means that the PSP is not anywhere near as attractive. I'm sure in time that will change, but right now I see the DS as being the only one of the two to offer something really new and different.

All these DS shortages are gonna work against Nintendo though - little wonder they are scrambling to open up another manufacturing plant asap.

Though I'm still waiting for everyone who ordered from that Wienberg chap to be screwed royally up the arse** - that would shut those smug bastards up.

Oh that's bloody great. I have snowballs chance of getting one, October 7 was when I ordered. Thought I'd be sensible and wait until after the unveiling to decide if I want one or not. Guess it came around and bit me on the ass. Bah...
