Missed the annual Putty release again. Sold out in less than 20 minutes.

Classic.

I'd seen the email but didn't really process it until too late

FUSS Club made it available at 10 this morning and I ordered a couple about 10 mins ago.  Limit is 2 per customer.

One of the tap rooms near me in Preston is having a Verdant tap take over starting from today.

I popped in for a quick drink.

Putty on tap was £8 for 2/3 of a pint. 🤨

They had 440ml cans of Putty for £11!

I settled for 2/3 of Neal Gets Things Done which was quite nice at £5.70.

God help you guys down south. 😜

Mate was in the Aberdeen bar last night that has it and it was £6 for a half, says he was the only person in the place drinking it.

Will likely get a half if I'm passing today just to try it.

They had Lightbulb for £2.90 a half as well.

I'm one of those "West Coast is the best coast" people when it comes to IPAs, but I do enjoy Putty (got a can from my local bottle shop) although there's beers which are probably on par with it.

I'd probably agree with this (justifying it to myself having missed the boat this year).

When I had it last year it felt like the scene had mastered that style across a number of breweries now, so it wasn't quite as mind blowing as it was when it first hit.

Pressure Drop, Beak and Baron for example do DIPAs just as good (if not *whisper* better) as Putty now.

Direct from Verdant they were £40 for 6 so £6.66 each though you would need to include a fiver for postage too as they have stopped doing free shipping.

I paid £7.34 each from FUSS with free shipping as my total order was over £50

Going to be down in London over Easter time, any recommendations for some decent craft bars near the London Eye?

Last few years Ive been down I would go to the Hop Locker under the Jubilee bridge but it's too early in the year for that, they do still have the stall at the market so will likely pay that a visit.

There is also the Waterloo tap and Kerb just along the south bank that I've been to but looking for something different but not too far away.

Some places I'm thinking are Mother Kelly's further south, The Harp in Soho and The Lyric in Soho.

Any suggestions?

You really aren't too far from the Bermondsey beer mile (London Bridge closest tube), which is the craft beer mecca of London really. At least 15 breweries all within walking distance, and well worth the visit.

It's as close to Waterloo as Soho, to be honest.
