Lots of Red Stripe love on here :) .

I don't think I'll bother buying any other canned lager from now on, it's always a real pleasure to drink Red Stripe. The six packs are cool too, at a tad over £5 in Asda.

I would also add that Asda Beer DeLux stubbies are nice for a lazy afternoon in the sun. About £6 odd for twenty, they go down nicely at 5%.

I went in to Waitrose the other day and was reminded how good their bottled beer section was. The shop itself is about a quarter the size of our local mammoth Tesco's, but the beer selection was vastly better.

If you have one nearby, it's well worth a trip out to see what novelties they have.

I love beer and I love loving beer!

Saturday night I was in The Hole In The Wall in Bristol which has just been done out and looking much nicer to be fair. They've got some damn nice lagers on tap there including the amazing and never before seen on tap.....Birra Moretti! Lush lush lush! :D:)

I was very much in my element drinking that ;)

Haha, that's like cheap pap in Milan! I remember drinking it and my mates Italian gf laughing at me :)

Is it?! To be fair, most stuff we get here is cheap stuff from abroad but is nearly always better than anything we do here. Moretti is lush whether its cheap in Milan or not.

This weekend saw me drinking Peroni up in Manchester on a stag do. I love that stuff! :(

She also told me Peroni doesn't even exist in Italy! It's purely an export beer! I with you anyway man, Moretti and Peroni are frickin SWEET beers! She was a dappy fucking wap.

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference (stay with me here!) Franconian style Dark Lager.

Very nice indeed, smooth and interesting at the same time and brewed at the Meantime brewery. I tried a few of their Grand Cru lagers I found in Waitrose (raspberry was not good) but I prefer the Sainsbury's labelled one. 4x330ml bottles for £4.

I highly recommend it

The Pilsner is also good but less individual and tasty as the dark lager.

For the last couple of weekends I've been drinking a German pilsner called Eichbaum. Its only £3 for six 330ml bottles at Tesco, and it is lush. I think I may have seen it in Lidl too, but I was too busy buyinglots of lovely chorizo and salami.

I can't work out why people rag on Budweiser so much, I had a few ice cold bottles in the sun a few days ago and they were lush. It's so crisp, I've got to a point where I view it in a different way to a good European lager, it's something else entirely for me, far more refreshing than, say, Staropramen.

I've been experimenting with different labels lately. In Boston, I was drinking a lot of Sam Adams. Softer than its European bedfellows, it combines the smooth texture of a bitter with the crisp aftertaste of a lager, complemented by subtle earthy flavours and an inviting amber glow.

It's Crispin's Beer of the Year.
