See, I prefer driving about in GTA to pretty much every racing game I've played, find it easier than most of them as well. If there was 1 thing I hope they don't screw about with, it's the driving.

Hmmm, its kind of difficult to argue with this sort of logic.

How about I rephrase what I originally said:

"I hope that they make the graphics better!!"

Part of what makes PGR3 enjoyable is the whole audio/visual/physical feedback. Its fun just to ride around because it looks and feels great. Now try your hardest to imagine a system that was just as easy, easier in fact, than the current GTA driving model - done that? - right, now imagine it with such an improvment in the graphics that its enjoyable just driving along and seeing the sights.

The enjoyable part of driving in GTA is mainly in the freedom. That's power and control. All I'm suggesting is the same thing with a higher level of audio/visual feedback. No harder, just better.

Why are people asking for parked cars when they have been there since at least GTA III?

I mean cars that actually pull over and park on the side of the road without any warning. Ouside shops for a few minutes, things like that. It would be make the city seem more real.

It would be nice to have it set in a country with roundabouts.

Yeah, and people throwing themselves out of their windows during the Big Crash.

That'd be ace.

What, the big plane crash into the building?

Make it "GTA: Tokyo"?

And if not, then how about having all the crap removed?

Get rid of those lame stealth sections. Or at least actually make them work correctly.

Get rid of missions that take half an hour and require you to travel the entire map, where if you fail in the last 30 seconds, not only do you have to walk all the way back to the start (since you probably failed in the middle of nowhere with no cars nearby), but then you have the added pain of doing it ALL again. And probably failing again.

Make the main game doable in 20 hours or less. The 100+ hour marathon that was SA made me quit. Vice City was 100% clearable in under 40 hours.

Get rid of those "hunt down 100 of XYZ" missions. There were like 6 differant varieties of those in SA. And with no clue on the radar to help you, you had to download maps off Gamefaqs. If you want to include them, choose one, not a dozen varieties, and at least make the pad rumble or something you're close to one. Or give people the ability to spend in-game money to be told where the next one is.

Don't do anything stupid like make the cars need petrol to work.

There's like a million other things, but I just want to the junk removed.

Vice City is one of my all time favourite games on the PS2, San Andreas meanwhile, I found dull and turgid.

They covered the return-to-mission thing with Trip Skip. Look for a taxi nearby after failing a mission.

Item collecting definitely has to go. If I can find my way up on top of a skyscraper using only my awesome climbing skills, then I want to find a secret weapon or something, not a bloody horseshoe. The levelling up for vehicle ability should die, although the character appearance and stamina/strength stuff worked.

As for the long distance stuff, I didn't have a problem with it - I enjoyed touring about the place and planning my mission en route, particularly when I had air travel. Stealth wasn't particularly necessary but I didn't have any problems with it (it was too easy to be a hinderance) so it should probably be dropped.

As for length, GTA:SA needed shorter "acts" at the start but the game's duration as a whole was good, I thought.

Hmmmm, what would I like??

More stuff to do on foot. Go in more buildings, more spots you can get to.

A better sniper gun to use with those new spots

Stuff to stop dissapearing. When I cause a crash i'd like to see clean up teams turn up eventually.

A submarine

Multiplayer on the whole map, witha max of 16 people. I find it more fun hunting people down

And to that end the oppertunity to become a bounty hunter, like my hero, Dog.

A replay/editing function where its recording the last 5 mins of whatever you've done so you can edit it and show your mates.

More stealthy ways to kill, torture and maim.

Ah, that I can agree with. It's great driving across Golden gate on SA, but imagine driving past the Houses of Parliament and the Eiffel Tower, or taking a motorbike into the Coliseum, all in shiny next-gen graphics!

GTA: Europe..

All 3 cities, London, Paris and Rome would rock big time, good idea!

SA proved you can do it on last gen tech, next gen will be stunning!

You could have the channel tunnel on there, the Alps, where you could recreate some Italian job jaunts.. base jump from the Eifel tower, Donuts in vatican square, pop jumps on a bike in the Forum.....the lot!

3? Pish! 9 cities! Or more! And I don't care about people moaning 'Oh god it's too big', you don't have to go everywhere! Jeesus. I'd like some Swiss mountain range; granted, there'd probably be bugger all to do up there, but if they implemented skiing or snowboarding, that would be fookin' great. And lush graphics.

i'd like a portable radio or cd player or ipod or something so that when you are on foot you can still enjoy the radio stations.

This!

I still can't understand why they havent implemented this in the 4 (3D) iterations of GTA...

Oh, and I want to hear people's radio stations playing properly from the cars.

hier and organise your own crew

buy body guards

crooked cops

jet ski's

catch plane trips

grab hostages on foot (like Getaway)

satellite navigation

fuel

if you crash your car badly, your health is affected

better in car view (like PGR3)

ability to steal cars and sell them on for cash

ability to deal drugs

the law finding different ways to neutralise you, instead of just running close and shooting, find buildings to snipe you out from above etc..

Dunno if it's been said, but if the next gen consoles are online, they should give you the option to stream music from an online radiostation.

Oh, and make the on foot bits as polished and solid as Resident Evil 4.

An online radiostation streaming from Rockstar would be pretty cool. I don't necessarily want to hear real life radio stations, this is my fanastyland!

I just hope they don’t use all the extra power of the new console's on upgrading the graphics, I'd be more than happy with a slight graphical improvement and making the world consistent like Oblivion's where each person has an agenda and an opinion of you and will treat you depending on what you have done to them, or they have witnessed you doing.

Ability to shoot from parachute would be good. Nothing ruins a dramatic plane-crash parachute entrance to a military base like that defenseless descent.

And less missions which bloody prescribed completion methods, please. If I'm told I have to get into a dam undetected, I can do it perfectly well myself, without having to fly through a specific corona in a specific aircraft and open my chute at a specific time.

They should streamline certain aspects of it, but they shouldn't make it smaller, no way. I say keep the hidden packages, too. I'm a collectathon whore at heart, and it gives me a nice excuse to go sighseeing.

I don't like these ideas of having 3 cities spread out over Europe either. I prefer the entire map being a cohesive whole.

A better saving system is a must. Or just change the 'you-lose-all-your-stuff-when-you-die' system to something a bit more lenient. Nothing worse than driving around for hours, finding packages, and then accidentally driving off a pier. Do you reload? Do you lose your stuff? What's a criminal to do?!

In San Andreas, you now keep your weapons when you die. You only lose them when busted.

Removing getting Busted would be a good idea, nothing's more irritating than being pulled out of your car or off your bike, or falling over, and automatically losing. I'm CJ! I've got a personal arsenal, iron pecks, and a suit of body armour. I think I'd rather fight my way out, thankyouverymuch.
